No way, EA is not that stupid. The rumor according to Gamespot has more to do with first dibs (timed release) on DLC and some other things.

Tell Sega how not stupid EA is. If Microsoft writes a big enough check, EA will play ball.

That said, I don't think EA is going exclusive to Microsoft.

far as the design. It's non-existent. My Verizon set top box, is better looking

for all the hate the Sony PS line receives, they've managed to put out attractive, dependable consoles, in their entire history

Best thing I heard was "bigger matches, more players" over xbox live. Hope this means we will finally get 64 (or more) player matches in BF4.

There wasn't game shown that made me say wow. And that FIFA demo was really lame especially the dribble with the ball, with arm out to block the defender while looking over the shoulder animation. I did like the multi-tasking, snap and switch presentation. That was pretty cool.

Totally agree. The words that struck me were "lag-free" and "mostly silent." If those are true, the experience will be pretty damned amazing.

The bit about having 300k+ servers running, to be able to allow server-side computations like Sony is, is also a potentially big deal. Opens up a ton of gaming possibilities.

I was pretty impressed. I think MS did a good job managing expectations about showing games. They put the hardware right there front and center as a subtle counter to Sony's inexplicable failure to do so. They leveraged the most obvious spots: NFL, world football, UFC, CoD, Halo, etc. by using at least limited exclusivity. They're aiming very high with the TV pass-through, but if it works that will be pretty huge.

It's going to cost a truckload, though.
