I can see Sony rolling out PSN Pass to counter the used game sales and I can't blame them for doing that.

Sony makes PSN Pass official
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011- ... s-official

"Sony has made the PSN Pass, first spotted this morning, official. It launches this September with PlayStation 3 exclusive Resistance 3. In a statement issued to Eurogamer this evening, Sony said PSN Pass will grant "full online access" to participating games.

We are always evaluating new programs for our online offering, and starting with Resistance 3 this September, we will be instituting a network pass program for PS3 games with online capabilities, Sony said. This program will be game-specific. Games that are a part of this program will include a single-use registration code that grants the account holder redeeming the code full online access for that title.

This is an important initiative as it allows us to accelerate our commitment to enhancing premium online services across our first party game portfolio. The implication is that second-hand copies of Resistance 3 will not include PSN Pass, forcing pre-owned buyers to pay for full online access."

Well that certainly clears up any ambiguity. I'm not a big fan of this at all.

Yeah you might take a hit but take NHL 11 for example. I sold it to Amazon for $32 a couple of months ago. That's not too bad. :)

Ya. The less people using games online the better for the seller and the buyer if the code is unused.

EA took the lead. How long before other software companies ignore the revenue stream in bringing it to Live? or have they and I missed it? :P

2K still doesn't require an online code for NBA and MLB2K. I have no doubt this will be the norm with pretty much every publisher. Expect MLB the Show 12 to use an online code.

Nothing to do with hackers, it's the same thing as the Project $10 stuff EA has been pushing so hard in the last year or so.

Gee thanks for pointing that out I really didn't know it had nothing to do with hackers 8O

Could be worse, it could be like the 3Ds game that will only let you save once.

Well, I needed an original receipt, plus when I called them my particular unit was way out of warranty.

They wanted $99 to repair it, so I told them I would think about and decided to take it apart.

After hours of troubleshooting, I saw a wire loose on the connector to the DVD/Game sensor, the part that senses when you put a DVD/Game into the ps3. Damn thing was really small, but I managed to rig it back together.

Plugged it back in and it's working again!!! WOO HOO!!! I'm so excited!

Even if it starts doing it again due to my rig job, a new part is about $20.

Good job Mizz. I'm in the process of repairing my 360 Pro. Nothing wrong with it, had it for 2 years and want to change out the thermal paste and install two fans inside to cool down the CPU and GPU. I ordered a new case for mine cause I broke the one that was on my 360.

I can tell you this. MAKE sure you use the case opening tool for the 360 or you'll be like me, buying a new case. :)

Here's the one I bought and all the fans will use blue LED's.

Yeah, the ps3 is MUCH easier to take apart than the x360.
