Gentlemen, last Friday and Saturday nights were the best of my Xbox live career. Friday night we were beasts on the ice, we even managed to avenge a loss we had suffered earlier to the NIN Ninjas. Our defenseman continued to be in the right positions to play the cheap cherry pickers, and our forwards where just beasts below the blue line.

I continue to play this game in my BAP career, but this game really shines when online, especially when we get 6 people for the inter squad games. Can't wait to do it again soon.

Agreed. The turnout was very good last night and the matches were fun and mostly balanced. Although I was a non-factor in that last game... I felt like I was in the box more than I was on the ice  :D

And congrats to Dan with the hat trick game thrown in the mix! That one tic-tac-toe passing play with Jimmy as the pivot was a thing of beauty :D

Wish I could have stayed to the bitter end, but 1:45am was late enough for me. I was getting bagged. As my wife so helpfully reminded me when I got into bed, if the baby decides to come in the middle of the night, it would mean I'm on no sleep. :P

Small price to pay to score on lasers from the point though. and by laser, I mean trickler........ :)

It was all we talked about at breakfast this morning. Sure Dan got a hat trick and Ace slid one under the goalie from three point land but that Jimmy goal was amazing!

So far flight delayed only half hour as I track it. I did forget about customs too but no worry. I will not be deterred as I have a date with Ice Dragon destiny at some point tonight.

Good stuff last night guys despite the party chat echoing, 34's microphone the cause? I lost the audio chat when pk joined the party for a bit, then switched to a different headset and wasn't sure if the mic on it was working properly. Hope to have a highlight video of some of our club goals over the last couple of weeks edited and uploaded sometime in the next couple of days, was nice to get that overtime win last night before we ended.

Very possible it was my mic as I was using a new one. Had to retire the original 360 sucker on friday night.

Rough grind last night for that last win. You knew once we got to OT they were ours. I admire the perseverance on that death march. :P

Yeah, it was definitely 34's mic. It was making spurious clicking noises so I muted his feed for a while, and all the echoing stopped.

Also, it wasn't just the echoing, but my own feed would get blasted back to me louder than the rest of the chat, about 1-2 seconds after each thing I spoke. But that also stopped when 34's feed was muted.

For a while, I wondered if he had a Kinect plugged in or something else that was causing feedback coming back from the set or something. But, since he's using a new headset, maybe it's the most likely cause after all.

But what a frustrating night in comparison to some others we've had lately. The early going had us in a couple of mismatches and the whole radio silence thing made those games a slog. Then, like Jimmy said, we got our game going a bit, only to lose a couple of nailbiters or the occasional close game that got out of control late. But finally banking a hard fought win in OT was a nice end to the night.

Also, what's your capture hardware?

I have the Elgato Game Capture HD. It records up to 1080p but I've only been using it set to record in 720p to keep the file sizes smaller, for the editing I just use Windows Live Movie Maker.

Thanks for the info. I've been back and forth on picking up capture hardware in the past, both for games and converting other old media. I'll have to look into the Elgato if I head down that path again... good stuff.
