I can tell you that the VAN Canucks are crying for help in the blue line as A. Edler went down yesterday. Decimated by injuries, the D will continue to struggle to fight for a playoffs spot in the ultra competitive western division.
that's a great return for the Leafs. Preds get more depth but Franson is horrible in his own end and Santorelli is just another 3rd line player which the Preds have plenty of. Preds are gonna have to win all their games 1-0 in the playoffs if they are going to win the cup. They needed a scoring forward....Kessel would have been the guy to get but if they gave up a 1st and top prospect for two UFA's...the Leafs must me asking for the moon for Kessel.

Well maybe Kessel to the Preds might still happen. Preds need a goal scorer...as a Blues fan, I don't want to see Kessel end up there.

Can confirm that the Predators and Leafs discussed a trade involving Phil Kessel as well ... Franson was priority but Kessel deal not dead

I wonder what they are asking for in exchange for Kessel? I bet it heats up closer to the deadline, but I bet they want way more than he's worth at this point.

They have to get some players in exchange besides draft picks. And depending on the team those 1st rounders don't mean much if you're a team like NAS which will be late rounds. If they really want to trade him, my guess is that it'll be done more likely in the summer, while players like Phaneuff, Lupul and Bozak are easier to deal with in the next couple of weeks. Don't forget that Kessel makes 8 million per, but yeah in order to do a culture change in TO they have to deal him.

Everyone is score watching in the pacific division. Canucks win a gritty one vs the Wild at home 3-2 with only two regulars in the blueline and two centremen out of the lineup. But injuries are part of the game as CAL keeps on being the Cinderella team in the third, and LA is peaking at the right time.

SJ is just right there and of course Minny has been one of the hottest team lately since they found their goalie.

This is going to be an amazing race.

Man....time to make some deals in Boston. It is obvious that this team isn't built to win and the window has passed.

and why the hell don't they make deals in carolina? all they'll do is lessen their chance of getting a top pick if they keep winning or get the loser point in OT.

New night but same cant score vs a s*** team.... but tonight we have NO Price which equals No win.

Not a shot at Tokarski cause he unlike the forwards ( See DD the midget from hell) plays balls out but like freaking goalie crack addicts....The Habs are so so depended on Carey.

Grow some f***in balls Habs. You have to learn to score and soon cause Price sure as hell aint going to!

Winter( AKA the NHL playoffs) is coming.

You know what, this team reminds me a lot of the last SC winner from Canada which you know pretty damn well. A lot of connoisseurs thnk that without Price, this is just an average team. Guess who also stood on his head back in '93 and now coaches the Avs?

Now, I am going to say that Carey is definitely Hart material. He's the MVP for the Habs without a doubt. The thing going for MON is that the East is not nearly as competitive as the west and once the real dance starts in late April/May, his incredible numbers may not be enough to carry this team on his shoulders as Roy did back then.

But hey, that was a mediocre team then too, and as you know a goaltending peaking during the playoffs steals games as Patrick Roy did then. So you never know, he is the best in my book today along Rinne so anything can happen when the playoffs starts.

They get a break with Subban back in the thrid period, another key guy, but we'll see how he reacts the next morning after blocking those shots.

Yes. I remember 93. I also remember 86 when Roy did the same thing as rookie. GREAT TIMES!

I think it would be awesome if Price carried the team all the way but I am not counting on that. Im not saying Carey isnt a great goalie but there was something special about Roy. He was a touch crazy and when he was in his zone you could forget about it.

They need to figure out how to score.

Another gritty win for the boys at Madison S. Gardens against one of the hottest team in the league. With two minutes to go they come back from behind against the Rangers taking the extra point in the SO. Big win considering all the new faces in the lineup and their current injury problems, right back at it tomorrow against the Devils.

Canucks are in the middle of a five games road trip and injuries continue to mount for the team. Burrows have been reunited with the twins and been playing some rejuvenated hockey, until he ran into groin issues, and yesterday they lost R. Miller also to a leg injury.

Reports are that he'll miss the rest of the season until the playoffs if they do make it.

At this rate, they may have to call the entire Utica team in NY to play the rest of the season.

Brutal loss for the Hawks last night.

Once again the NHL fails to act.

For some reason these idiots enjoy watching their stars knocked out of the game by illegal and dangerous hits.

Disgusting.

betmann you are a piece of s*** and you prove it every day and in every way.
