Thanks for info but won't work with Geforce Now yet but hopefully by late August it will as we are about to go on our next RV big trip to the West till then. If not I guess I will just have to breakdown and get the Xbox X and put my Xbox One in the vault.

What didn't you like about them?

I choked in round 3 of this week's tourney. Left so many puts right on the lip that didn't fall.

Almost all the players that are scoring these numbers are using the Razor Wolverine V2 wired controller and thats why they are shooting those numbers. It can be programmed for dead zones and other tricks that make it a true straight shooter. Until the game developers only allow the official console controllers this won't change unfortunately and I don't see that happening.

Does anyone else have the issue where the GOAT questline isn’t available to you? I didn’t even know this was a thing and I’m already 3/4 through my first season, having completed many of the objectives (from what I read) to advance through it.

It’s nowhere to be found in my Quest list.

The devs only care about making money and what crap they can add to the store and club house pass to make the hamsters run on the wheel and buy more stuff.

i sort of didnt care about the crazy scores because I just liked playing the ranked courses. but now its getting annoying. I know i'd never win any of these public ranked tourneys, but at least competing I'd be happy with. Like if the top score was -6 and I scored -2, then I would feel I'm getting better compared to the field. But no way I can compete with ppl shooting -50 or better.

Then jump in and play in the society. Some of the scores do get crazy, but at least you'll know no one is cheating.

Even in our tourney, somebody just shot a 60.

I just play so I can see some courses I may not have found that at least have been somewhat validated by somebody here.

Not sure if I'm that person or not, but given that I've played this game for years, and have a 99 level golfer... the challenge for me on the Pro difficulty any round on any course is to hit -10 or better. I think I did that twice in the 3-round tournament, then lost my groove and only shot -5 (I think) on the final round.

Then there's Wilk who is schooling us all. :)

Totally different story on higher difficulties like Master where it's too hard for me to hit double digits under par

My 67 in the first round put me in a big enough hole that I couldn’t quite dig out of. I made a valiant effort in my next two rounds and came close, but too much damage had been done.

Nice tourney 10s and Leadfoot!

Some rounds I feel like I can't miss and other rounds I can't hit a shot to save my life.

Old story. They need to make money. It's the way things are.

At least most of the time you can play and amass a bit of VC and purchase stuff at the store with that, without spending a dime in real currency. Other games put all that store stuff behind a solid pay wall, which is obviously worse when it comes to even competition. If I can grind for something that someone else just pays for (which scatters the fun), I have no issue.

Hamsters or no, if you were selling something (legally) and someone wanted to buy it (legally), would you give it away or take the money?

It doesn't matter much to me how much someone spends. In the end, leaderboards and stuff are always going to have ridiculous scores. I think 2K25 should provide a filter with the leaderboards. If I shoot around par I want to see a leaderboard with numbers (live) hovering around par, that would be a nice feature to have, rather than looking at -75s going into the final round.

I don't see and never will see why some people worry about how much money people make. If you find it to your liking to contribute, then contribute. If not, don't. Video golf is often about gathering up a group of friends (not real friends, of course) of similar abilities and playing, pretty much, within that group.

I'm not interested and never have been interested in players who shoot ridiculous scores on the easiest levels. They can do what they want. Others get this crazy scores because they are very good and have been playing these types of games since the Colosseum got its first facelift.

I typically play Master, and, to be honest, generally stink at it. Pro to me (not having witnessed or even remembered the Colosseum) is a lot harder than Pro in 2K3, in my opinion. So for my Career-- in order not to be totally frustrated-- I'll play a round, 9 holes Master, 9 holes Pro. Seems to work well for me. I'm simply an average player, like most of us.

All they have to do is look at Golf+ and how they do their tournaments. There are like 15 levels, promotion and relegation based on your scores and handicaps. It makes it so you always have shot to win. I’ve finished a few top tens in a daily multiple times and it’s always a few shots that I messed up that cost me a shot at a top five finish. If you start falling behind the curve in that division you drop down for the next week. It really is the only way to do it. In societies that obviously doesn’t work because you’re amongst friends and certain settings but if we are talking community wide, they really need to implement some sort of promotion and relegation.

It's so obvious, once you explained this. Seems like an easy, and necessary, implementation.

Really enjoyed this version of Augusta National.

4th round the wheels started to fall off after starting birdie, birdie, birdie. All of a sudden I couldn’t hit strait and was finding hazards left and right. On 12 I hit the flag stick with my tee shot, and the ball bounced off it and rolled back into the pond in front of the green. Absolutely nothing was going right.

Pulled it together and then birdied 18 to finish -1 on the day.

Not sure it will be enough.

I finished like +55 for the tourney.

Well I “Tin-Cupped” it.
Plus five for first round.
Second round I’m either even or plus one through 14 so I’m happy with how I’m doing ( so plus six overall).

Good tee ball on 15. Second shot into an 11 mph wind but down hill. I pull three wood, lands on slope and makes it to fringe before rolling back into creek. I know I can make it- next attempt wind is down to 9mph. Exact same result. Wash rinse repeat again and again taking the stroke limit and walking off with a 12 for the hole and plus 13 overall.
F***ing golf

I had to shoot great on Sunday to finish under par for the tournament. Multiple blow up holes where I kept putting it in the water. Not a fun time. :)

Looking forward to the qualifying event for TGC tours tomorrow. That tour gives this game serious legs, but you have to plan on Master or better.

I followed everything but my score doesn't show on the leaderboard. I sucked but I'd still like to see it.
