Looks sweet. The games needs that something extra to draw people back in.

Agree. MS Flight Simulator fulfills its name -- and then some. It's a wonderful sim. In fact, one of my college teammates just got his pilot's license last year, and he told me his flight school used Flight Sim with all assists turned off for ground training. That's impressive testimony.

But we turn on our Xboxes to be entertained. And there's no doubt Flight Sim needs a little more "gamification" for most to be consistently entertaining, to breed more of that "one more flight tonight" fun factor.

I look forward to this new direction.

game is good if you want to kick back and relax but I can see why people call it boring.

I like the landing challenges which make it feel more like a videogame.

They said you will be able to use the add on/planes you purchased from 2020 in 2024 but I am highly skeptical. Maybe first party MS addons sure, but 3rd party I'm not too sure about.

Hopefully we get some more planes out of the box, a reply mode on Xbox, and a better online experience.

my apologies, Lancer. I performed a search for Flight Simulator, and the old thread showed up instead. Nevermind the fact the new FS 2024 thread was at the bottom of the front page. lol. Carry on...

No problem

I’m looking forward to 2024 but not excited.

I never buy dlc or addons for games but i did for msfs2020. Like probably $100 in dlc. Planes , challenges, airports, etc.

I was really hardcore into this game for like 2 yrs. But the updates killed a great game on Xbox.

They claim all the DLC from 2020 will work in 2024 but I’m skeptical. Maybe MS dlc but doubt 3rd party.

thanks, Lancer. Yeah, I completely get that. For myself, am hoping pretty much all the mainline game content from 2020 is carried over (I don't own that version).
Interestingly, Mrmattyplays was reporting via his podcast, that 2024 will be a smaller file (less data), than 2020. Hopefully, everything is just better optimized. BTW, did you stream 2020, or play via offline mode?
