As I'm sure most of you are aware Xbox Gamepass pricing is going up. Starting Wednesday for new members and September for recurring charges.

I went to Amazon last night and bout 10, 3-month Gamepass Ultimate cards (2 per purchase) at $44 each, $48 with tax. Considering soon that is going to cost me $60 for 3 months on a recurring charge I saved roughly $12 a car or $120 total.

I suspect these card prices will change tomorrow , so if you're a cheap SOB like me you might want to do this.

There are also different tiers so not every tear will have Day 1 games.

so my gamepass will expire in august.

can I still do the trick where I buy a 12 mo xbl gold card and then buy a month of gamepass, hit cancel automatic renew, and I get a year for $85? or does that end tomorrow or end in september?

Thanks for the heads up. You can also get a 3 Month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate for $32.19 on CDKeys. I just bought one to try it out and it applied just fine and it added 3 months to my current subscription.

PS - One thing I did not realize until seeing this post caused me to look at my subscription was that the last several renewals, as I was also being charged tax. This had not always been the case so obviously something new. Buying the 3 Month Xbox Game Pass Ultimate cards on CDKeys did not charge me any tax from what I can tell.

Any time you put in a 3 month card / code it just bumps out your next billing date 3 months. So you can always ad cards / codes without worry

do you guys know if this is true? if you buy 3 mo of gamepass U, and turn on auto renew , MS gives a free additional month - so it's like 4 months. I've read that but wasn't sure if it was true. People say after getting the extra month they just turn off auto renewal.

idk I always have my auto renew on but I've only once been charged monthly as when I get close I put in a bunch of 3 month cards.
