Unwatchable. My DTV feed is a pixelated mess. Anyone else experience this.

I have Dish so I had to purchase HBO NOW and stream it on the XB1X.

I might be in the minority here but I thought it was a fantastic episode. (I won't spoil anything)

Yes, the compression on DTV is often quite poor in extremely dark scenes. It was especially bad in tonight's episode.

I liked it. It's not easy to film an 80 minute battle scene, but I thought it was largely effectual.

I will say that they played REAL fast and loose with survivability of the battle. After Night King's parlor trick, the sheer volume of the dead would have been completely overwhelming. The dead warriors were falling from the ramparts en masse. The individuals arriving in the nick of time was a bit cliche; Jorah, Beric, and the finisher, of course

I thought it was an ok episode and don't want to spoil it but some of the worst tactics every employed on a battlefield and really saw the ending of the episode coming in the first 10 minutes.

Yes. This is true. There are a number of face palm worthy tactical decisions.

I'm trying not to post spoiled but in fact this:

You don't send your entire Calvary into the dark against a larger superior force. Let's assume for a minute they actually you know scouted the force size instead of sitting around drinking wine. Who knows maybe they just said f*** these screamers we don't know what's out there. Then the ENTIRE unit is destroyed except for a semi-main character. I know he dies later and in a heroic way but come on really?

I won't even get started on the Arya stuff, the minute the witch walked in and looked at her I knew she would kill the night king. For a few minutes when she was dodging white walkers, which IMO was the best scene in the whole episode I thought, they are going to shock me and kill her but they didn't. f*** they didn't kill anyone that would cause a stir.

I just had an interesting discussion with a co-worker. Her husband felt the episode was kind of just ok like me. Turns out we both had literally just gone to see Avengers Endgame then came home and watched Thrones. Since End Game was so perfectly satisfying to me, I think that clouded my opinion on this episode.

Arya went from playing Ninja Gaiden to Last of Us. Everyone know Nija's are powerless in libraries. :D

That was a silly choice. So was that Dothraki charge.

You can tell filming Dragons is expensive. Not good.

So That is why the Lord of Light kept resurrecting Beric.

Arya FTW!

Bottom line ...I was entertained.

Pretty much. I still maintain these episodes aren't that interesting simply because the white walkers aren't interesting. It's not so much as bad storytelling as it is there's simply no story to tell. All the mystery and menace of the white walkers and Bran through the seasons turned into a big nothing with mindless mute attackers and Bran sits around bird watching.

And yes, outrageously bad tactics.

Let's take our best, most mobile fighters and send them into blind charge against a much larger force. Sounds good to me!
Let's put our artillery in the middle of the battlefield, send one volley, then literally do nothing. Great plan!
Let's take our other crack troops and leave them completely exposed and blind in the middle of an empty field. A+!
After we light the trench and the enemy is standing still at close range, should we shoot them like fish in a barrel? Absolutely not!

They have gone past the books. Clearly.

After rewatching that episode I was entertained but I didnt love it. I usually like them more after a second watch. It was not what I expected.

I have no idea what to expect now.

Danny's biggest mistake listening to the idiot imp.

Should have burned the mother f***er down in 2-3 hours when you first came west. Then done the dead. Could all have been done quick and easy.

Listening to that moron gets your dragons and your bffs dead.

Lannisters are the biggest scum in TV history...Clearly I liked this episode. 8)

For the second straight week the second view left me unhappy. That second look...I enjoyed the show watching it first time but then I see stuff I just dont like.

The apparent Mad Queen turn for Danny bothers me. We have watched this show for so many years? It is OUT of character. Forced.

The Dragon was a pretty big death. A pretty f***in stupid one but still huge.

Queen b*tch could have easily killed them all on the beach. That was one pathetic looking army.

Past the books they are and they look it.
