You do have a point on the slo mo. Not as bad but still not that good either.

I can see the hearing going either way.

No, it's a suspendable hit. It may not look late but the main point of contact is still the head. Forearm, elbow, whichever part of the body just connects with Kucherov's coconut.

And he'a got a hearing with S. Quintal so something tells me that he will get at least a game suspension which is crucial for the Wings of course.

Got get rid of those reckless hits.

Two of the questionable hits that I posted yesterday is being discussed here. IMO both Ovechkin and Kronwall were clear penalties.

Justice served by the league. Kronwall will miss game 7 for his dangerous hit last night.

That was a VERY good explanation.

Maybe we are moving in the right direction? Finally the right guy in the job?

I can accept the reason for Kronwall's 1 game suspension, but I'm also wondering if it's a bit unfair in the timeliness of it. I'm curious to know if any other NHL player in recent history has been issued a game 7 suspension?

And why wasn't Stamkos issued a 1 game suspension when he (along with Garrison) two-timed Abdelkater into the boards as he was falling down during the third period of Game 5 Saturday at Tampa Bay? Lightning defenseman Jason Garrison took the body while captain Steven Stamkos added a shot to Abdelkader's head with an elbow, which earned Stamkos only a trip to the penalty box.

I'm glad that the NHL are finally beginning to really crack down on blows to the head, but I wish they would be more consistent with meeting out the justice.

Agree ....... Consistency would be nice.

Hopefully Kronwall wasnt suspended in vain. That the next one and the ones after it will be treated the same way.

I have HUGE doubts.

We will see.

G7 Wings Lightning going into the third 0-0.

Been fun to watch. Wings carrying the play but not finishing.

This will be intense.

Hoping for OT as I await the Habs opponent.

TB turned it on at the end. Took the game and made it theirs.

Won every regular season game vs Habs this year...but then again they lost every play off game vs Habs last year.

I really wanted a few OTs.

I cant believe it yet another handshake without death threats....so nice not to have the bruins in the playoffs...Though I do love playing the bruins in the playoffs. :P

Yeah, TPA just owned the Habs during the regular season but this is a different beast. Being swept last year, you would think that they've learned a thing or two. Bishop who's been mediocre vs the Wings was very strong tonight and will have to match up the heroics of C. Price who happens to have the last playoffs SO. One guy that needs to step it up if they are to advance to the next round is S. Stamkos. No goals so far but I have a feeling that he'll lit the lamp in the second round. Yet TPA still advanced, they have depth.

Let the sweepstakes for Babcock begin...

What a buzzer beater. Both keepers were outstanding especially Holtby when they were leading 1 zip. I still think the Rangers will come on top in this series but Caps are not so easy to push under Trotz. Just look at Backstrom out of all people, he would never come near the boards for a hit and that turnover created the winning goal for Ward.

Go Flames?

Flames are getting crushed. Playing like this will make it easy for ANA for yet another sweep.

That early breakaway from Calgary was scary--but after that, Ducks were just rolling. Poor Hiller got pulled again.

Calgary will make it more interesting than the game last night showed, that's for sure. I don't see a sweep coming, but I don't think the Ducks lose the series, either. I'd be thinking 4-2, possibly 4-1.

A key stop by Freddy that settled things for your Ducks. The Flames have been very resilient throughout the year but without Hudler who's a key component for the first line, they are going to find it difficult to score. They miss also the grittiness of Ferland who can hit like a truck and drove every Canucks players nuts. Both goalies are struggling.

How about the kid Johnny Gaudreau. He sat the entire third period, keeping the bench warm. Not sure if it was punishment by the coach or an ailment in some part of his body. Missing those three guys is huge for CAL. They may make it close next game but the way ANA was rolling, especially Getzlaf and Perry, they should douse the Flames with ease.

That's what's tough. When you look at Anaheim, they are very top heavy on the stat sheet. But it's not like the other lines are useless out there. They're relentless, and by the time Getzlaf and Perry come back out, the pressure is heavier and harder. Just seems that throughout the season, that pressure isn't maintained in the second period. Then they get their sh*t back together in the 3rd and finish out games. It's a good matchup with Calgary, since they're similar in their 3rd period resiliency. I just don't know if the 'haven't won in Anaheim in 10 years' is in their heads or not. Sure looked that way in game one. Like they were just playing not to lose.

I'm worried about the Hawks next series. Hopefully Kaner being back in the lineup helps them solve the Dubnyk puzzle they couldn't towards the end of the season. The Wild are a much better team than they have been the past two playoff seasons.

I dont put too much stock in what happened regular season ( see the Blues ) but I do agree the Wild have gotten better. They looked really good against the Blues.

I like Hawks in seven this time around.

The Hawks will be skating with the Cup in June. 8)

I would of rather played The Blues myself, I really don't see the Hawks winning this series. If they do I think it will be in 7.

The best scoring chances for the Habs came shorthanded, both Bishop and Price have been outstanding. The goals are going to be hard to come by in this series, via tips ins, via screens...
