Tonight... Spies vs. Mercs...BLACKLIST!

The wait is over! Let's get some Spies vs. Mercs action going this fine evening. Start time around 9pm central, will take anything from 3 other folks up to 7 others. The classic mode is 2v2, but if we get more than that, I'm fine with doing the Blacklist mode for up to 4v4.

I would love to start at 9ET, but just can't. Got to take two boys to football practice and Scouts, and that won't be over until 9ET. So I'll have to stick to 10ET.

Played some random rounds on classic...LEGIT. It was a blast, even with no communication and randoms. Can't wait to do it with mics and buds...

After the all too predictable early reaction of "wait, this isn't SC:DA, this is different, why did they ruin my game?" I really started to dig this thing. A lot.

It's certainly different. In many ways it's more like the originals, Pandora Tomorrow and Chaos Theory, than it is like Double Agent, but it's similarly streamlined and simplified. I enjoyed our time in both modes, the classic mode and the new-fangled mode with the customizable load outs. I'm looking forward to exploring all the different gear options and how they change the game. And I think we only saw three maps tonight!

Really, really enjoying this one after the initial shock wore off as Zeppo described.

Can't wait to play more.

Oh and Zepp - you can shoot out lights as a spy. At least in Classic mode you can. Just using the EMP crossbow.

Awesome. That was as much fun as I've had in recent memory online. The classic mode is a true throwback to Chaos Theory, which is a very good thing. I was concerned about the Blacklist mode, but am no longer concerned, as it was also a blast. Still wondering what 4 v 4 would be like, but maybe we can actually find that out tonight. Mix got home late, and had to download the texture pack, otherwise we might have gotten a full room. He'll be there tonight, too, as will I, so I'm ready, ready for some more SvM goodness!

I'll give it another try but I won't stay long if I can't hear anybody. That's a tough game to learn running around not being able to communicate with your team.

Awesome as always. Was really nice to get four on four game, but wow it was chaotic as all hell. I didn't have a very good night on either side but it's still so damn fun once I push myself past my despondent frustration.

More tonight? I won't have to get up super early tomorrow so I'm looking forward to playing a bit later, but I'll still be looking to start around 9:00 EDT. I won't be around tomorrow although I may pop in on the later side Saturday night.
