Wow boys, I mean truly wow. To come back on here and see two pages of well wishes.....well it nearly brought me to tears. Not that I should be surprised.

Sadly the update is not a good one. The blood has caused a shift in his brain and is pushing on his stem. There is no hope for recovery, and even if there were it would be a vegetative state. We were told that he would likely pass overnight. Well in true marine fashion, he is still "fighting". I would expect nothing less, but the neuro expects the end to arrive shortly.

Again, I haven't met a single one of you (other than Sport) and I know the support is genuine and it really means a lot.

You all have a merry Christmas and do me a favor, call, hug, hold, and kiss the ones you love. You simply never know.

Rally,

I lost my mom to cancer on october 10. I sat bedside with her in hospice for 33 days. From diagnosis to her passing was just under two months. I've never experienced anything like losing a parent. Truth be told, i've still not unpacked this reality in my head / heart. You and your family will be in our prayers. Your advice is so spot on.. Call, hold and kiss the ones you love.

Know the thoughts and prayers are coming.

Hope everything turns out well for you. Tough time for sure, but you feel a bit better knowing the suffering is over. Losing a parent is tough, but you can always remember the good times you shared. I have a feeling your dad knows you guys are there and appreciates it, even if he doesn't show any physical recognition of it.

I wanted to say thank you to all of you for the posts. Unfortunately the world lost one hell of a man yesterday morning. Christmas will be filled with a celebration of a wonderful life and the knowledge that I have an angel looking after me every day. Thank you all again and I wish you all a happy holiday with all your loved ones.
