I got an email today that they had "captured" my order and that I should expect an order confirmation in another 24-72 hours.

I got the impression while waiting to talk to a CSR that all the orders over the weekend were going to happen. It's more a matter of waiting for them to fulfill all the orders.

LOL Slickdeal says that all or a good portion of those OnSale orders from Amazon yesterday will get cancelled. And I went ahead today and cancelled my HP orders...sheesh. I can't win.

That's because the chips are from the previous generation, A8 instead of A9.

Why bother to jailbreak and get less software choices?

Anyways, the BN order was canceled. So the hoarders will sell on eBay. While HP is still advertising at $500, surely some people will bite at $400 thinking they're getting a deal.

The order seems like it went thru but I didn't get any confirm. emails yet.
You have to pay $20 shipping but supposedly cust svc will refund it afterwards,
since the website says free shipping on touchpads.

I think the key is to order ONE. I ordered one, even though I needed two for my kids and my order still says shipping on the 24th. From what I have been reading, they have cancelled ALL of the orders where multiples were ordered.

EDIT: Now I read back and see yours were 3 different orders so I don't know.

I used the link I supplied above and ordered from HP last night. I just checked my order status thru
HP and it says "your order is being processed". I just called HP cust svc and he said that when the
order goes thru they will remove shipping charges. So I still have hope! Anyone who hasn't gotten
one yet that wants one should try the link I provided. It may still be working.

1) It's a SD link and everyone and their mother will be placing orders

2) HP shutdown manufacturing of their TouchPad's prior to making the decision to exit.

So the only ones who will get HP TouchPads from HP are those who probably placed earlier orders. I don't think there are enough TP on the planet to fulfill all the orders for those devices. I do hope you get one.

Cool. Hope we both get one Scoop! The cust svc rep I spoke to this morning said that it may take a few days to receive the confirmation email.
The credit card charge showed up on my statement today, so I am hopeful. I have heard that they are only cancelling MULTIPLE orders, so if you
ordered just one, you may have a chance.
