Why? OnSale is a subsidiary of MacMall and your purchases are covered by Amazon and they have a solid reseller rating. Oh and you're an attorney, sue their ass.
Re: OT: Android Tablet Thread
Was able to get a 32gb at Best Buy and have 2 32gb on order through HP, but no confirmation email yet (ordered in the early morning). If the other 2 actually ship, it will be one for me, the wife, and one to stick in the closet for a hopeful port of Android in the future. Never had an interest in the ipad for $600+ given that I'd mostly use it for browsing. Do want some netflix support, but not for $450 more than what I spent. For what I'm asking of it, it more than certainly fits the bill.

Android or TouchDroid is being worked on as well as Dual booting the TouchPad. Also don't be too surprised if Windows 8 runs on the TP.

Re: OT: Android Tablet Thread
Love my iPad for fun but have been looking at the Galaxy Tab as an alternative and for work. I want to start learning how to develop for Android as I think that would help further my career. I saw you mention the USB adapter db, what functionality does that provide? Can I plug in an external USB drive and file swap? Can I access music and video stored on it?
I am a patient boy.
I wait, I wait, I wait, I wait.
My time is water down a drain.

Scoop I had asked the same question and Mr. Writers Cramp basically confirmed yes to what you said about the USB adapter.

Incidentally, as one of over a dozen worldwide Pre owners, I really loved WebOS. It's a shame that a few key early mistakes really made it an uphill climb for what's really a solid OS.

Posting this from my TP.
Definitely not as smooth as an iPad, but still a very good tablet as of now.
Browser is slower than on iOS but flash plays great.

Re: OT: Android Tablet Thread
Ordered one from Amazon and one from Barnes and Noble. One of em is bound to come through. If I get two...oh well.
Re: OT: Android Tablet Thread
I ordered 2 yesterday from Amazon 16 and 32 both have a Shipping Soon status. Now I need to call HP and cancel my order and the two bogus orders their system generated.
Re: OT: Android Tablet Thread
if anyone winds up with extras, I'll gladly take them off your hands. I wanted two for my sons.

Got one on order from BN too. Strange that they're still taking orders, most online outlets which offer them at the clearance prices are selling out quickly.
Hopefully there are a few useful apps. out there. Otherwise, good cheap browser device for the couch or the bed.

Re: OT: Android Tablet Thread
Maybe that should have been their strategy from the start?
Re: OT: Android Tablet Thread
Wow....I can't believe all you guys are jumping on the Touchpad bandwagon! I guess for $99 you can't go wrong.
Are these all sold out everywhere?

And now it gets much more interesting. Hopefully this bounty works out better than the one Shapiro gave to the Canes players:

If you get two, I'll buy one off you. I don't like to be left out, even if I think the product is inferior.dbdynsty25 wrote:Ordered one from Amazon and one from Barnes and Noble. One of em is bound to come through. If I get two...oh well.

Anyone find any online seller that isn't already sold out of these? I have been looking all morning and can't find any.

Re: OT: Android Tablet Thread
LOL, seriously...why do you think I got two of them? I have ZERO desire for one of these things, but at $99 how could I NOT get one (especially if they get android running on it). Wifey wants one...so we'll see what happens to the other one. I'll let ya know if I've got an extra.Murph wrote:If you get two, I'll buy one off you. I'm with DB. I've thrown stupid money on other things. Can't go wrong with my inner PK self.
I'm looking forward to the next Samsung Tablet or I may dance with the devil incarnate and buy an iPad 3.
