Looking for help/suggestions.
I have a 2001 Honda s2000 with only 8200 miles on it.
Id like to sell it. The car is in mint condition has never seen a winter mile. Only seen rain 2-3 times.
The question is what to ask for and where best to sell.
I figure some of you guys might have some ideas.
As always--thank in advance.
Tony

My suggestion is to check Ebay and see what the car is selling for in your area. Also checkout Kelly's Blue Book http://www.kbb.com and NADA.com

Re: OT: selling my car
Autotrader.com is a good place to start too...at least to see what competing s2000s are selling for.
Re: OT: selling my car
All decent tips, but the fact that it only has ~8000 miles on it will bump the price a bit.

What, you can't search for or see the milage on autotrader.com to gauge where you should price yours at? It's a valid tip...and a damn good one. Where's yours?F308GTB wrote:All decent tips, but the fact that it only has ~8000 miles on it will bump the price a bit.
Re: OT: selling my car
Kelly's says that car is basically worth $16K with a typical equipment installed. KBB tends to be a little on the high side but S2000 are pretty popular with the Tuner crowd. Not sure if MUTTS can get that in this economy but it's worth a try.
edit: I guess Kelly's Blue Book wasn't too far off. Here's what these cars are going for on Ebay.

Re: OT: selling my car
It's a starting point, but the problem is what premium to add for the low mileage. S2000 had a relatively low production run, so a specimen with less than 1000 miles/year is going to be on the pointy end of remaining 2001 models. Now if this were a 2001 Mustang with 8000 miles, there may not be so much of a premium due to the production numbers.dbdynsty25 wrote:What, you can't search for or see the milage on autotrader.com to gauge where you should price yours at? I'd say best place for advice and potential buyers would be S2000 forums. When I was looking to potentially pick up a Viper, I made a beeline to the Viper forums.
Re: OT: selling my car
I don't have any advice that has not already been given other than to say price it on the high end to start because you have a rare specimen of a car given the mileage and the condition. Sounds like an awesome ride.MUTTS wrote:Looking for help/suggestions.
