Who knows? But who's asking?greggsand wrote:What a great site, but........ how in the world do they get away this?
Besides btjunkie.org and Google, ATDHE is the most valuable site on the Web! Oops -- forgot youporn.com, too.

I would steer toward atdhe.net since it uses a Flash-based video sharing model instead of a software-based streaming model.
Software like Sopcast and StreamTorrent always insist they're spyware- and virus-free, but I'm always skeptical the second I see all the Chinese language packaged with the installers.

The Feds look pretty serious this round, as channelsurfing.net also was shut down. But software like Sopcast will fill the void. Video streaming sites are like weeds. They'll never stop sprouting.miget33 wrote:fsquid wrote:atdhe.net

Plus there are a TON of sport-specific file-sharing sites that have full caps of matches, fights, races, etc., ready for download within hours of the final whistle, bell, buzzer or lap.

Re: Help! - Watching spports games on the net
channelsurfing.net is still alive
edit: WAS
I may have to turn to Sopcast or TVUPlayer if they shut that down. You'd be surprised at the idiots posting at NFL.com that they're watching a game via channelsurfing.net or atdhe.net![Razz :P](./images/smilies/icon_razz.gif)

Re: Re:
This really pisses me off to no end. I spend around 100 a month so that I can have maximum sports packages on satellite. I have no problem paying money to view sports, however so much stuff I want to see is not even covered on DTV. ATDHE and its ilk are the only way I can view a good many soccer matches that are not available on DTV, even if I am willing to pay to see them. I also use sites like atdhe to watch stuff I DO get on DTV, but cannot see because I am in a room where I have no TV, so I watch them on my laptop. Judging by how few of viewers are on a given soccer match on atdhe I fail to see how it is cutting into profits of anyone in a substantial manner. I think most people in the States that watch soccer on atdhe are not doing it to evade paying, but watching because they cannot get the matches in any other way. Honestly, it's hard to stay a fan of a sport that you cannot watch, so if the government cracks down too heavily on such sites here in the US then the various European leagues will actually lose fans here. My hope is that the government cannot keep up with sites continually sprouting up and soccer fans in the US do not get left out in the cold.miget33 wrote:fsquid wrote:atdhe.net

Lmao. I thought the same thing when I went to the shutdown site and saw their stupid badge and graphic about how they seized the site. I guess since their billions of dollars have been unable to catch real terrorists they have to go after web sites that show sports. What a big f***in joke they are!WillHunting wrote:Homeland security really needs to find some real terrorists.
Re: Help! - Watching spports games on the net
I was reading a story this morning talking about how internet caps are hitting ISP's harder in Canada. What was once 250GB are now 60GB. The article said it's part of the push for net neutrality, i'm still fuzzy about what it is. BUT the article hinted it will eventually make it's way to the US as well even though Comcast has a 250GB usage cap on most of it's plans.
So I ask you how in the hell is Netflix and other types of services expected to exist when you are charged for going over on your plans.
Here's my solution![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

Internet caps are inevitably coming IMO. Also very possible that if net neutrality passes it will just make the internet more expensive for everybody as ISPs have to accommodate the bandwidth hogs by making everyone else pay for it. Who knows, but if I were netflix I'd be pretty concerned.Rodster wrote:I was reading a story this morning talking about how internet caps are hitting ISP's harder in Canada. So what will that do to gaming companies who sell their goods on PSN or XBL? I won't be buying anymore 1.6GB game expansions if I have a cap. So we're back to dial up behavior where you didn't download stuff because speeds were too slow. Now it's not the speed but you have to pay more.
Also I sure as hell would block flash and any animations. Like I said if it goes that route i'll switch to free wi-fi hotspots.

Here's another question what would it do to services like STEAM?
