OT: In case you missed it; top 25 songs of 2009 remix

Post by Sport73 »

This is stupidly good. The remix is 10x better and took more talent than any of the songs in the mix alone. A sure sign of what a talented 'DJ' can do with today's technology:

I only recognize 4-5 songs and maybe 3-4 artists. I'm old.

Very cool video. Too bad the songs suck.

This guy has superb skill, but this mix also indicates just how homogenized pop music is. Most of the pop songs on the charts have very similar beats and melodies.

I always tease my 11-year-old daughter about that when we're in the car listening to pop radio.

Me: "Who's this?"
Her: "Such-and-such artist."
Me: "Oh, they all sound the same. Sort of like why Styx, REO Speedwagon and Journey never toured at the same time in the 70s and 80s -- because THEY WERE ALL THE SAME BAND, MAN!"

She then greets me with a frown. :)

Still damn impressive video. Thanks for the post.

Wow, that was impressive! Not only did he mix the audio, but the video with it! Very nice job.

amazing

I'm closer to 40 than 30, but still knew all of the songs from radio surfing during the daytime driving around.... not to mention most of those songs show up in pop culture in other places, even at sporting events between faceoffs/snaps/innings/halftime, etc...

That's the Jamie Foxx - "Blame It" video. It's littered with cameo's.
