I'd be straight in there, but the download price here in the UK is a ridiculous £40, so they can forget that one.
"The players come from all over the world, the money from deep underneath the Persian Gulf, but, as another, older City poster campaign put it, this is their city. They may now exist in the global spotlight, but they intend to keep it that way."

Sure I'll play sometime, let me actually score a point first in my practice matches. I can't seem to even make a pass so I must not know something important.macsomjrr wrote:Haha, same here:) So addictive though! We should play some Danimal. I'm got a few Lizardmen teams I've created.Danimal wrote:Game is really good and I really suck at it.

The rules do take some getting used to. Have you checked out the Living Rulebook 5.0 yet?

Funny but I am playing Chaos, which I think may be a mistake I made in Abner's league by choosing them it doesn't fit my play style. Oh well you learn the hard way.macsomjrr wrote:I know what it is! You're playing as Chaos:) j/k

No it's a PC game, out by direct download only right now. Based on the Games workshop miniatures game. It's kind of like football with Orcs, Goblins and what not. Except players dieTeal wrote:So, what...is this an XBLA game?

It just makes very dumb moves at times that go against usual Blood Bowl tactica. Multiplayer (i.e. human run leagues) are where it's at. Although the single player is wonderful for someone who wants to learn how to play the game it won't challenge veterans much.GameSeven wrote:What's the knock on the AI? That will probably prevent me from grabbing this, despite being a multi-season and multi-tourney veteran of the board games, going back to the very first edition. We had 32 team leagues! Great game.

Chaos are definitely not a passing team to be sure. To start they don't have any players with "Pass" or "Catch" skills so making a successful pass attempt is really difficult. Although if you play with them enough you could give them those skills. You could upgrade to a passing Chaos Warrior and a catching Beastman with some extra movement points after you've played some games. That team wouldn't be allowed Bill's league though cause it'd be over the 1000 team value limit. The best passing team is without a doubt the Wood Elves.Danimal wrote:Funny but I am playing Chaos, which I think may be a mistake I made in Abner's league by choosing them it doesn't fit my play style. Chaos are a good blitzing (Horns) and running team. Surround your ball carrier with Chaos warriors and make a run for the end zone. That "frenzy" skill on the minotaur is pretty nasty too.

Well, they can certainly pass -- a 3 Agility means short passes are usually ok, but generally they're like the Dwarfs..ground game.macsomjrr wrote:Chaos are definitely not a passing team to be sure. The thing about Chaos is that they get *really* tough the longer they stay in a league and a highly rated Chaos team -- one with several star players, is a wrecking ball. Rookie Chaos teams are tough to use because they don't specialize in anything.
Get them some players devoted to certain tasks via skills and watch out.
Skills to consider for a Chaos team: Mighty Blow, Guard, Piling On, Juggarnaut and almost ANY of the Mutations. Two Heads is great. (How often do you hear that said..)
