Need a big favor

Hi guys:
 
 I need to ask you a big favor. Snicker all you want, but I´m hopelessly addicted to the British soccer soap opera, "Dream Team," that airs every week on Fox Sports World.
 
 Problem is, I´m leaving on vacation for 10 days tomorrow. My VCR is too old to record triple-digit channels of digital cable, and I don´t have TiVo.
 
 Can anyone tape "Dream Team" on Fox Sports World for me next Tuesday night from 9-10 p.m. (EDT) or 11-midnight (EDT) Wednesday? I´ll pay you for postage and the tape.
 
 If you can do it, please record at the two- or four-hour speed. My VCR doesn´t work at the six-hour speed. (Damn, I really need to get a new VCR, but I´m a tight bastard!)

Man, I would have hooked you up, but my damn digital cable decided to remove Fox Sports World from my plan, so now I would have to upgrade to a ridiculous plan just to get it. I saw an episode at my brothers place and it looked interesting.

I can flag it for TiVo and let you know what I get. Try to get more than one person to try to tape it for you, though, just in case there´s a tivo conflict with another scheduled recording.

 I know, a 37-year-old dude is addicted to a soap. But I used to watch daytime soaps when I worked nights in the newspaper business, and I love soccer. So when I saw this soccer soap for the first time, I was hooked at hello. Great show.

 Good to see you, man. I want to say it´s been on Fox Sports World about six to eight weeks.
 
 The network shows two 30-minute episodes, back to back, every week.
 
 Man, it´s a delicious show. Really centers on soccer but with enough trashy, soapy plots to make it even more fun.
 
 P.S.: Ghost Recon Poker Night is still on for Monday nights even though I left SR. I will return as host at 11 p.m. (EDT) Monday, April 21. I´m on vacation now in Florida. Hope to see you there. Spread the word to all the Poker Night guys who are still at SR. Thanks.

 I know your not cheap man,but it was just sitting in a closet going to waste since we got our DVD player. We both would be happy if it was put to good use again.
 
 I was going to ask if you watched this show before I left,but it slipped my mind. I only watched a couple of times but I liked it.

 Great time, thanks. Plenty of sun and surf with the kids, wife, friends and family during the day. Very little sobriety at night with friends and family.
 
 I completely forgot about work for a week, so mission accomplished.

 Paul , thank Sheila for the offer to send me some goodies,I would take her up on it but I still haven´t got my Moms care package yet. She sent it 2 before she decided to come visit me. That was almost a week ago.Its lost in the mix here,some of my brothers here get mail that is 3 weeks old. friggin civilians <IMG SRC="images/forum/icons/icon_wink.gif">
 
 If you guys feel compelled to send anything ,send it to the address you sent the IRL gear to. It looks like that will be our home base this summer.But I ask that you don´t,I am doing fine and I will not be fussed over!
