F1 2006 or Le Mans sounds good to me.

Take care,
PK

My buddy who ran our first league with us has played this game non-stop since, even paid for the upgrade. He says there are a ton of new features, and would like to hop in our league again if we don't mind (he has 4 running at the moment!)

My choice would be for the LeMans series. I loves me some endurance racing!

I think we had a rule that no one was going to pay for upgrades to keep it fair.

I've also paid for the upgrades, but it doesn't really give you any advantage other than being able to see your teammates ranges from testing. That, and you can play a bunch more games.

LeMans is pretty wild, the 12 hours of Sebring is 346 laps, and you have to change drivers. Unfortunately, there are no private games available because of the amount of server space each game takes up.

I'd recommend not doing F107, at least right now, as the Ferrari's are way better than the rest. I'd say 06 is the best of the F1's available.

Yeah, from what I've seen of the upgrades it realy just eases your load, it doesn't give you any advantages as far as speed and such. Basically it keeps you from having to write down settings if you need to remember them.

That's pretty much it. I got Kool Tools a few months back since I've been in at least one game ever since we last ran BATracer, and my results are worse with it than without it. You can see your team mate's setup, if they're prepared to let you, and it's easier to share your data, and that's pretty much it.

I'm in one of the first F1 2007 games in a Spyker, and the playing field is nowhere near as level as it was with the 2006 carset - if we go the F1 route, the 2006 set is the one I'd suggest using.

will we all have a teammate? That would only be fair right? I have ended up in a few seasons with no mate and it kinda sucks, especially if you have had teammates who like to share setups and what not!

I thought I'd give this a little bump. I've been screwing around in the Champcar series, and I think it would an excellent fit for this group. You can have 1 to 3 car teams, and the cars are pretty much identical. There's also a pretty good mixture of ovals and road courses. A lot of passing on the ovals, and quite a bit of collisions.

Anyone game?

Me and my buddy Glenn (who ran our last league) are in if we do it. He enjoys the Champcar Series also.

ChampCar is fun, but I'm out - leaving the country in a few hours, not back until next Sunday.

Come on PK, if I can sit here watching Indy qualifying you can run a Champcar league. Besides, PT is out for a while so you can do it with a clear concious.

Sorry, Grant. Can't do it. Plus the series doesn't interest me, so a fantasy league based on it won't interest me, either.

Take care,

I'm game but would prefer a less frenetic pace than the last time around. Practice-qualify-race every other day got tired.
