59. Nobody botched more trades than former Cavs owner Ted Stepien back in the '80s. He was so bad the NBA created the "Ted Stepien Rule", where no team could trade away their first-round draft pick two consecutive years. It's still in effect today.

Read Isles number 93, which should be number 91.

If you want to really get technical, neither guy spelled Andersen correctly

45. Barry Bonds signs with the S.F. Giants prior to '93.

44. The then Baltimore Colts trade number one draft pick John Elway to the Denver Broncos for QB Mark Herrmann, rights to OL Chris Hinton and a first-round pick (OG Ron Solt) in the 1985 NFL Draft on May 2, 1983. This of course after Elway said all along he would never sign with the Colts. Less then a year later, the infamous Mayflower trucks move the Colts to Indy in the middle of the night.

I still to this day remember Tony Pena crying after learning of his trade from the Pirates. At least he got to the World Series with the Cards. Tony Pena was my favorite player in the 1980s (I was a high school catcher at the time), so I took it hard as well. It was a good trade for the Bucs though. Mike Dunne got off to a great start and finished second in the R-O-Y, but then fell off the face of the earth several years later. Van Slyke and Spanky were key parts of the division winning clubs of the early 90s.

Cubs definitley got more out of Karros and Grudz in 03 as they were a major part of the Cubs winning the division and winning their 1st playoff series since the 1908 world series. ultimately it was only for one season so it probably doesn't deserve to be on the list. but Hundley was such a horrible pickup for the cubs that if they would have got a bucket of balls for Hundley it would have been a good trade.
