Next robo QB

Post by wco81 »

OTL profiled Jimmy Clausen, who's about to enter his junior year in high school. Descriptions like the Lebron James of football are tossed around.

Technically sound with a release compared favorably to Marino's and tutored by some QB specialist since he was like 12. Had 58 TDs and 6 ints as a soph.

Big time college coaches are falling over themselves to recruit this kid. Pete Carroll, Spurrier and others have already offered him a scholarship. Only problem is, they're not allowed to do that until Sept. 1 of the kid's junior year (they made their offers back in July).

What was the guys name whom Beano Cook said would win 3 Heismans? Ron something and he played for Notre Dame and couldn't make it with the Houston Oilers? Oh yea now I remember, Ron Pawlus(sp?). He's probably hanging out with Kelly Stouffer, Heath Shuler, and Ryan Leaf.

91. Johnny Walker

Had so much potential but his close friendship and upcoming drug addiction took him down harder then Anthony Michael Halls career during the 90's.

Well they just said on ESPN that Clausen, the "most acclaimed QB from California since John Elway," will commit to Notre Dame tomorrow.

88. Every QB drafted by the Bengals other than Greg Cook, Ken Anderson, Boomer Esiason and Carson Palmer.

Klingler, Thompson and Akili Smith - what a triumvirate of talent.

The only good thing about Thompson was conning the Bucs into giving up a first round pick after 4 years of him being shite.

Yes, I believe they are cousins or something like that. He goes to Oaks Christian, which is in my hometown of Thousand Oaks, California. He set crazy passing marks in High School...and now he's going to Notre Dame...he'll be a bust. I've seen him play a few times and haven't been THAT impressed.

He's Casey's kid brother and he's obliterated Elway's records with his senior year still to come.

Supposedly he has perfect mechanics and more accuracy than most college QBs already.

But one thing is he's like 6-2. So unless he grows a couple more inches, he's not going to be seen as the prototypical QB.

I saw his career (high school) stats in an article this weekend (sorry, can't find the link). 88 touchdowns with 11 interceptions. He might be worth risking a scholarship on. :D
