What a shitty deal!! OMG that sucks!sfz_T-car wrote:Looks like Jackdog needs to pick up Bronson Arroyo on waivers.
I would have thought WM Pena would bring more in return than a 29 year old journeyman SP with a guitar.

OK, after week 1 Jackdog has the ealry lead. I will post weekly standings here.
JD's Reds are scoring lots of runs and his 1st place standing is reflecting that.
Many top flight staters got shelled this week and that has hurt many teams ERA and WHIP.
DB gets the nod for pick of the draft so far with Chris Shelton. What a week.
1. Jackdogs Redlegs 84
2. S.D. Pigpen Dodgers 77.5
3. fanatic's isotopes 74
4. Fighting Iguanas 64.5
5. MattKs Mudpuppies 64
6. SF_Zexpos T-car 63.5
7. Db's NuLLseTz 62
8. nyisles16 hitmen 53
9. Leebo's LFers 47.5
10. Chapel Hill Soapmen 41.5
11. Brando's Cow Tippers 28.5

Woopee after a whole two weeks. I'm hurt.matthewk wrote:And yet you are still in 6th place
If my pitchers didn't pitch like the real life Braves, I'd be fine. Horrible, horrible pitching. I'm in the top portion of every offensive category but SB's and last in almost all of the pitching categories...not a good combination.
I knew I was in trouble when 6 guys got hurt in the first few days. I think 3 or 4 of them went to the DL, but I guess we can only place one. It also doesn't help when you forget to start a pitcher that wins. It's tough to keep up with it. I swear Yahoo didn't have that ^ by Morris when I selected my lineup. I'll have to check another site to see if guys are starting.
Haha, last Saturday I was on top of the world with a sub 2 era and sub 1 whip...then Peavey gets BOMBED....as well as every other pitcher I have....then I knowingly leave Crhis Young out of my line-up...he pitches 6 shutout innings...while Escobar and Verlander get BOMBED....needless to say, that sub 2 ERA is now over 6.
Unbelievable.
Fantasy Baseball....you have to love it....and I definitely do.

I know I shouldn't be aiding the competition, but if I win I want to do it legit.Leebo33 wrote:I knew I was in trouble when 6 guys got hurt in the first few days. I always replace a starter the day after e pitches with a guy on the bench. That way, even if the manager starts a guy unexpectedly I should already have him in the lineup. It's a little tricky at times, like the start of the season. I think I had 4 guys pitching opening day. As the seasons goes on they tend to stagger better.
