Yes, I'm a drunken, happy Twins fan right now. This team has a hell of a nucleus in place going forward. Suck it, Sox (despite knowing those words could bite me in the %ss going forward). Enjoy, I think the Jays need one or two more solid arms in the pitching department and the race for the wild ca...

It is amazing to see what the Twins have done after dropping the dead weights of Batista and Castro...just think if they had put Punto (ick) and Bartlett in the lineup from day one. Yes, I'm a drunken, happy Twins fan right now. This team has a hell of a nucleus in place going forward. Suck it, Sox...

2. Mike Hampton - This guy is making almost 20 million a year and he is hurt. NEVER has he been worth anything close to 20 million. Wow...I haven't heard that name in a while. My vote goes for Vince Carter. Anybody who can sleep as easy as he does after a loss, doesn't deserve that kind of money.

PK... You're right, the graphics in NBA2k6 got a lot of praise and can definitely stand up to it's EA counterpart. However, I just get the feeling that NHL2k doesn't get the same special treatment as it's basketball counterpart. Another issue is that the EA brand here in Canada makes people nostalgi...

PK.... I just can't see NHL2k7 winning over the average consumer without a complete overhaul of the graphics and presentation. NHL07 has something that NHL04 couldn't even dream of- high definition hockey. With current gen systems, it seemed that controls and AI were prominent factors in the decisio...

Kevin...

I also noticed that....As well as more instances of guys skating away from the play/puck for no particular reason.

Obviously to early to judge, but based on history I have a hard time getting too excited about this one.

I'm just a bit worried that there's going to be TOO much control for the user. I really don't want to be able to swing the puck from side to side without the very high chance that I'll lose control of it. EA will probably not build enough risk into the equation, in an attempt to get people excited a...

Definitely miss the excitement....was great to see everyone driving around with their respective flags. I pvr'd a few games (watching argentina's blowout of Serbia will never get old), so that should keep me happy for a while. I'm pretty excited for the EPL to start however- The World Cup is great, ...

Also, the NBA does have an image problem, but it also has an angry-middle-aged-white-guys-who-don't-watch-regularly-and-want-to-see-Larry-Bird-suit-up problem. Although the NBA draws very well here in Toronto, it still has an image problem with middle aged/older white guys due to the whole m...

Eman- You should still try to take the hills a bit slower if you can. I trail run a lot and try to keep my heart rate within normal range. Like PK said, the lactic acid buildup is detremental. I don't think muscle will build as strongly (in the long run) if it's not done gradually. You are right tho...

Since I'm chatting with myself....

That was AWESOME....A.L. scores 2 off Hoffman in the 9th. Nice to see my Blue Jay Glaus come up with a big hit as well.

Let's see if Rivera can close it.

Midseason Classic

Just thought I'd start something for anyone who's watching the Major League All-Star Game. Gotta say I love watching it because it feels like a regular game of baseball- unlike the NBA, NFL and NHL All-Star games, where the flow (mostly due to the contact nature of the sports) is just too relaxed. I...

Congrats to Italy for playing some amazing defense throughout the whole tournament. I thought they played with passion and deserved the trophy. Back to the PK issue: While it's a shame that it had to end that way, I don't really think it's as horrible as some make it out to be. Tonnes of drama and i...

As dissapointed as I am for all the dedicated US footy fans here, I gotta say that seeing Ghana advance is a pretty feelgood story. The people of Ghana will definitely be celebrating tonight if they can hold on.

I struggled with Moto GP3, never quite getting a good feel on the handling. If you can give it a rental since it is a very good game if it fits your style. TOCA 3 is a great game but for some reason has lacked that additional spark that the second one had for me. Dave, I would usually rent games li...

What seasons/franchises are you currently playing?

I'm currently loving my rotation:

1. Winning Eleven 9- Cote D'Ivoire- World Cup
2. Rugby 06- London Wasps- English Premiership
3. NCAA Baseball- Long Beach Dirtbags- NCAA Season
4. NHL2k6- Toronto Maple Leafs- NHL Season

Should keep me busy for a while.

What are you guys playing?

Thanks for the breakdown PK....

Sounds like MotoGP is a worth a shot for someone who's never tried it. I can picture that first person mode giving me headaches, so it will be nice to go along with my "clawhand".

I have only caught glimpses of the real sport on tv, but it definitely looks intense.

Toca3 or MotoGP?

Decided to trade in a few games for a racing title I can spend some quality time with. I really liked Toca2, but am not sure whether or not the changes in Toca3 warrant a purchase over MotoGP which I've never even played before. Both titles interest me- Which one looks prettier? I know both will off...
