JPM's cornhole of his teammate Scott Pruett takes some of the luster off an otherwise excellent performance in Mexico City. Montoya's charge from the back was very impressive, even accounting for his fresher tires and the road racing experience of his NBS competitors. He probably could have afforded...

Since this post is on the front page, I might as well mention that I've entered the current generation of consoles as well. I left the final decision up to my 11 year old son, who is pretty much able to kick his old man in everything but racing games. He elected to go Xbox 360, which worked out well...

The trade deadline came and went without changes to the balance of power. Only one contender was active but Dallas' move of Anthony Johnson is only interesting if it clears space for them to sign Scottie Pippen. Fred Jones to Portland for Juan Dixon is the definition of a minor deal. The deadline wa...

From the Guadalajara newspaper. When he found out minutes earlier that a few of the U.S. players criticized him for trying to injure Johnson after the second goal via Landon Donovan from the Stars and Stripes team, Sanchez was sharp-worded with his reply, “I don’t give a s*** what they say. F*** th...

Can't complain about the result but I thought Mexico dominated play for long stretches of the 2nd half. They just couldn't finish their opportunities, while the US did. The corner was excellent and Donovan kept his composure in the mano a mano vs. Sanchez.

I thought the cbs broadcast sucked. nance and simms missed a lot of stuff in the game. The Colts tactic of calling plays at the line of scrimmage made it harder for the director to insert replays. That was exacerbated by the fact that Indianapolis dominated possession. Not that Nance is particularl...

The Pack was 8-8 this season which counts for contending in the NFC. Favre gives them a better chance to win next year than Rodgers, although it won't provide the organization with any real data about Rodgers' abilities for the 2-3 year timeframe. Cap rules and the short leashes given to coachs and ...

I'm glad he's coming back. As a Packer fan, it's hard to imaginable a team without him. The TD, QB victory and INT records should all be his by this time next year. Sad to say, but I think he's coming back to attain the records (the "good" ones). I don't buy the "he's still playing because it's fun...

Houston could also be a tough matchup for the top two seeds in the West if Yao and Grady are both healthy at the end of the season and throughout the playoffs. Aunt Esther has done an outstanding job filling in for Grady while he's been hurt. :) The playoffs are a long way away. As always, a lot wi...

Although they are a bit ungainly, the DPs provide the best current combination of competitive racing and full fields on the planet. I'll take it over the Audis running away and four GT1 cars battling it out for best in class. After farting around with GPL, looking at the pics from the F1 launches an...

Time zones would be a problem for me. I probably couldn't race until 10:30PST on weeknights.

I'd be happy to act as a moving chicane in any late night, non-championship races.

I'm talking about him as a coach, not a player.
did I mention Schottenheimer won the 1965 AFL Championship as a player for the Bills?
