Here's a classic: Love is like oxygen You get too much you get too high Not enough and you're gonna die Love gets you high Time on my side I got it all I've heard that pride Always comes before a fall There's a rumour goin round the town That you don't want me around I can't shake off my city blues ...

William Shatner's renditions of "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" and "Mr. Tambourine Man" are the most hideous songs I've ever heard. And yes, they do exist. I have them on my MP3 player. So bad they're really, really funny even though the Surgeon General has issued a warning that listening to them ...

The roster editor would be good to use when trying to put together a team. The way it is laid out would make it easier to sort players when looking for info on a trade.

Anyone use a computer monitor for high rez gaming? (Xbox)

Anyone have any recomendations about using a monitor for gaming? How good is a product like this: http://www.bixnet.com/tvboxforpcmo.html How does a good monitor look for gaming or just as an extra TV? Does the resolution jump out or not? Just wondering and figured some of you must have opinions. An...

My only problem with that statement is that even though the Big House holds more people, there are other factors involved than just size.

Some stadiums hold noise in better than others and the fans are closer to the field. Oregon does not have a huge stadium, but it is a tough place to play.

Living in Atlanta with no children (and with my wife out of town for a project) I have had nothing to do but work, game and read. I do a lot of listening to books on tape/CD as well. I have gone through a lot of books lately. As for mysteries, I really enjoyed Michael Connelly's Harry Bosch books as...

My main gripe is that the only way to see what a pitcher's strength and weaknesses are is to look at them when they are not yet in the game. What I mean is that once a pitcher is in the game, you can't check and see what pitch they are best at and what pitches they are less successful with. Same goe...

Tournament option (you had it on ps, perfect year to put it back on ps2 since your coming off a dual championship season) I LOVED this option on the PS2. All those undefeated teams with cupcake schedules would get their butts smoked in the tournament. This mode revealed the fraud and showed the tru...

FYI - ESPN

This has been reported at OS and other places, but just in case someone hasn't heard: The expanded online ESPN Baseball manual in PDF format can be found here: http://www.espnvideogames.com/manuals/ I already printed the 62 page opus for my reading pleasure. I sure wish that EA would start doing thi...

There is nothing more chilling than the sound a pump action shotgun makes when someone chambers a round. The deep metalic 'chaa ching' sound is unmistakable and made even more chilling when the realization hits you that the gun is leveled at your head. So when my wife tells me to get off the xbox fo...

Hey, at least Sura worked hard to help his team win.

What about Kobe 'making a point' by not putting up shots against the Kings? He cost his team the game by not shooting or playing his game. What does that say about him and the game??

I agree with most of your assessment, other than the pitching meter in MVP. I personally dislike the pitch meter. I feel like it makes the game a little too arcade. I would rather the game take care of accuracy/location based on a pitchers skill and how tired they are with maybe a wildcard of good d...

I am wondering about playing with the AI pitching sliders at some point to see if I can make it harder to hit. I don't see this as a huge problem, but it will keep this game below High Heat status. I played a lot last night. I really suck at pitching right now, but I love the pitching interface. I think I simply throw too many strikes and therefore give up to many hits. I think it would be too strong a word for me to say that OS and their reviewer 'lost credibility' with me over the MVP review, but I must admit that if he loved MVP as much as the review stated, then clearly he is looking for something different in a baseball game than I am.
