Flyers and Senators game...
For those that want a taste of the action:

http://www.hockeyfights.com/videos/

EDIT: And wow, the story gets even better after the game. Apparently Bob Clarke had to be restrained by the Flyers PR rep from entering the Sens locker room, as he was seeking a ´chat´ with Jacques Marti...

A soccer match I want to see
I´d like to see this one as well, but not sure if it´s gonna happen. Only on DirecTV ppv for $20 and HDnet. Think you will actually be able to see it PK?

Not surprised the Oilers went after a guy like Nedved. They have always lacked depth and size at center, and Nedved can´t be any worse than past supposed solutions like Jiri Dopita.

Not a Rangers fan at all, but I am also relieved they have finally given up and are rebuilding. I always felt...

WE7:I Anyone playing it on 5 Stars
After playing on 4 stars for a number of months, I have finally stepped up to 5 stars. Right now the challenge is pretty good, maybe even slightly on the hard side. If I play with relatively equal teams, the game is always very close, but at the moment I am coming out on the losing end slightly more...

Top 5 Sports Games of All-Time
There´s good stuff on this list already. Here are my top 5, mostly dictated by which games I found myself playing the most.

1) NHL ´94. Still the king. I think the best of 501 game series I played with my friend in high school that spanned 2 years was the pinnacle of my gaming life.
<B...

MLS 2004 Beta Patch for Download!!
You need to change that and the option file.

The data_e.afs contains all of the graphics for the game. What I did is copy my old afs file in windows, then apply the new patch to the copy. Whenever you start the game, the exe just looks for the data_e.afs in the dat folder, so I would just r...

MLS 2004 Beta Patch for Download!!
I hear you on that one db. I´ll probably release another version of the file in a few days with Columbus in another slot, and return Fulham to their place.

Also, I know it sucks about the one or the other issue when it comes to patches, as some people may prefer the EPL patch. All I can rec...

MLS 2004 Beta Patch for Download!!
Hmmm, I was hoping I could avoid a long explanation for that, but I guess I should do it. I´ll add it to the zip and reupload the file when I get a chance.

EDIT: .rar file with AFS explorer 3 and new readme with detailed instructions for graphics files installation has now been uploaded. MLS 2004 Beta Patch for Download!!
After months of long, hard work by myself and Blub, we are ready for an initial beta release, exclusive to DSPers. It includes the graphic files for PES3/WE7, and an option file for MLS rosters.

I have only been working on the PC version so I know the option file is good there, but included...

Jared: Your CM to PES converter?
I´m not really sure about the PS2 side of things, I´ve only been doing it with the PC. Right now I am editing the pes3.exe file, which creates a new option file with it´s info when you start the game without a option file already loaded. Now I know a program like WeOptEditor can open both pc option ...

Thanks a lot for the help Jared. I already went ahead and put them in. I really don´t know what I´m going to do about those other guys, but I guess I´ll have to figure something out.

One question though--I noticed the ages were off, in particular Chad Marshall was listed at 37, when in fact...

Dual Action Gamepad (pissed)
I´ve had the same experience as btm. I´ve bought like 4 different PC controllers and sooner or later they always stop working in one way or another. The 10 bucks I spent on a PS2-USB controller adapter has turned out to be money VERY well spent.

I have been working with Blub on the MLS patch, and I haven´t actually played with it as much as blub, but he reports that your converter is working out very well. I have tried other converters and notice that they do tend to inflate the stats for very mediocre players.

One question I do ha...

Anyone know who bought the US TV rights to Euro 2004?
Yeah, I was wondering about this the other day. Sadly that´s what I expected. PPV blows. The only real choice is finding a sports bar I guess.

I´ve also wondered at times, will we ever see TSN in the US on satellite or something? I´m sure that if I ever got that channel I would watch it muc...

The out of season excuse for the US doesn´t really apply.

Reyna, Berhalter, Gibbs, Lewis and Keller all are in the middle of their Euro seasons.

Mathis, McBride and Bocanegra are all back in game shape after their Euro transfers.

Convey, Beasley and Donovan should all be i...

PES3 PC: ML with EPL/CL 2.0 patch
The best way to acquire players is on free transfers in the off-season, or on trade transfers. If you start with the default ML players, most of them are overpaid and you can find players who are better with smaller salaries. That´s where you want to make the trades.

The other way is, durin...

I saw the game too and pretty much agree with everything that has been said.

I was dissapointed by how boring the game was, especially the first half. Also dissapointed Mathis didn´t start because McBride was pretty awful. Sure he didn´t get any service, but almost every time he touched the...

Well I am definitely looking forward to it. Still trying to figure out exactly how I am going to be able to watch it with work and all, but I´ll find a way....

Holland is bringing EVERYBODY, so if the US can merely keep up with them in Amsterdam that would be good enough for me.

Su...

New rule changes for the NHL...
You´re preaching to the choir James on calling interference stuff, but given today´s climate of hookings is okay as long as the player doesn´t flop, a rule change that says ´you touch a player with your stick in the neutral zone--automatic penalty´, would be very practical.

PK,

As someone who held your point of view about the two-line pass for a long time, I definitely understand your frustration. Just watched the Video Preview of MVP Baseball at IGN
MVP´s batting system is based on 2 things.

1 - Timing, which decides contact quality.

2 - Matching your swing-type to pitch location.

The idea is that hitting up will put a ´fly ball swing on the ball´, which would be a good idea on high pitches. So in general you do want ...
