While there are a lot of guys at 2khockey.net who can remain unbiased regarding both games, I can barely even remember that guy and I've been posting there for years. Thus, his opinion isn't highly regarded by anybody there, and most certainly here.

Yeh hes over the top the other way now. So is that whole league at times. Id rather have that tho than a bunch of cheesers at least 90% of the league are good reliable guys . I figure if my play is considered sim then it must not be too tough for others to be as well, since I don't really force it ...

Wow i can see you guys have made your mind up already then. I thought the animation was awsome . Cup is a real good guy if he did do that to you scoop i doubt he would now. I m suprised your not giving it a chance tho. Yeah, that was 5 years ago so I'm sure he's changed now. He was pretty immature ...

That new interface and general "coolness" is almost enough to get me to dump my 30GB and move to this one.

We'll see.

There are absolutely no hints as to when the demo is coming out yet one is supposedly due.

The game's release date has been pushed up one day to 09/10 though.

Hey Zlax, sorry if I didn't respond to your XBL msg but my 360 keeps getting RROD so I wanted to spend as much time with the game as possible. As for your question, I'm not sure if I'll get 08 yet.

The game seems pretty damn fun so far though.

The original was a real surprise hit for me on PSX. My brother was going to be this iteration but I told him to hold off and read about it first.

I can't beat Hangar 18 on Expert. It's the only thing standing between me and getting my ass handed to me at Freebird on expert.

Surprisingly, my 360 didn't get the rings on me today when I fired this up. I guess I'll have something to play until the box comes.

It was actually a good recipe, especially if you like more of a soya sauce taste. My grocery store didn't sell dried chilies and I was kindof in a rush so I bought a chili sauce and just mixed it in with my portions. This worked out nicely because my girflriend doesn't like spicy food that much. I s...

The movie itself looks pretty horrible (as far as plot, etc.) but I bet the actual Aliens and Predator fights will be pretty sweet, providing that they actually act like Aliens and Predators still. I'm a pretty big fan of both the early Aliens and Predator movies and they were terribly gory, especia...

I love trying to cook stuff I eat at restaurants at home so tonight's effort is The General.

If it's any good I'll post the recipe for you guys to try, or to badger your wives or girlfriends to make for you.

Pretty sad that the Leafs have only one player to crack the list and it's pretty much their only shoe-in of the last long while: Tomas Kaberle. This team is going to be a real "treat" to watch this year. Ugh.

Thanks for the info, guys. I do not have an extended warranty - just the manufacturer's. I guess it would be a lot nicer to just do over the counter, but I'm patient enough to wait for them to fix it. Unfortunately the new hockey games will probably be out by the time it comes back, but awell.

More information released at 2khockey.net, this time about the create a team feature, and also there's 50 new screenshots. I haven't gotten the RROD, but I think that my system has fudged the bucket. It's under the one year mark, so it's somewhat all good. This is the first system to have completely died on me ever though, and I've just about owned them all (other than PS3). My launch PS2 just about died, but I cracked ...

Thanks for the consideration, but my plans for hockey gaming at this point includes only NHL 2K8. However, if NHL 08 does knock my socks off, I will also buy that as well. Who are you , Venom? God no, I don't have a distinct aversion to EA/EA Sports. I'm a student and simply don't have th...

WAZ from 2khockey.net has released some more details that won't make it to any press release but are important to sim gamers: http://www.2khockey.net/content.html My favourites: - sharing slider sets online, as well as being able to rate them. Thank God. - One-timers now have an Easy/Medium/Hard opt...

A greedy one, if they could crunch the numbers to where a reduced Vick salary would outweigh the revenue from lost fans and put a winning/profitable team on ...

Signing a guy who apparently killed dogs is something that won't be defendable by even the best PR/marketing firm. I was referring specifically to the possibility of him playing in the CFL during a possible NFL ban. I'm sure he'll find work playing football somewhere after the ban, but it's difficu...

The goalies look much improved, as far as coming out of the net and looking a lot more natural with sliding saves and such, as well as making more appropriate animations as well. The total stick control didn't really look all that great, but I think that's something that will come through when playi...

WAZ from 2khockey.net has just posted a video of a full game of 2K8 using sim sliders. I'm downloading it now.

It can be found here:

It features the Rangers and Devils and is 183MB.
