Back on our perch.

Still kicking. Still gaming. Sometimes even more than I used to. Sometimes much less. Once a year or so I get the compulsion to play a twitch shooter like COD to make sure my reflexes haven't become turn-based.

I have enjoyed this game more than any golf game in years. Maybe ever? It started to get a little easier with a maxed-out golfer, but cranking the wind up can definitely balance things out nicely.

I guess that's fine if their board, players, and supporters are judging success by their balance sheet. I understand the advantages that Bayern have, but Dortmund haven't won the league in over 10 years.

It's a bit of an indictment of Dortmund that he's been such a start right out of the gate at Madrid.

For what it's worth, I think their implementation of New Game+ is pretty slick. I'm on my 5th playthrough at this point, and I'm finding that I'm playing more like "the character" and less "like me" with each run I make. Pretty wild.

I've sort of played it alongside my daughter so far, and only for about an hour or so. It is pretty slow to open up, for sure. But I'm excited to start my own game and get to the point where things open up. It's undeniably beautiful and immersive.

Playing on Pro-Am. I started on Pro bc I've played plenty of TGC over the last few years, and it was a bloodbath. But even on Pro-Am I've got crazy swing tempo issues and wild, and honestly seemingly random, putting inconsistency.

I have given this game plenty of run, and I'm just going to put it away for a little.

Either the game is broken or I am, and it's not worth my banging my head against the wall to figure out which is which.

Bill Harris pretty much sums up my attitude toward this whole upcoming generation of consoles.

Is it a crotchety old man position? It is.
