Injury Report
Some of the major injury news: Charleston's dominating middle reliever Richard Murray, a part of the 2010 championship Cicadas, who'd been on the DL for a year, is officially out of the league. He can't recover from his injury. If that weren't enough, their closer Mark Antle, who had just resigned w...

Re: Green Sox Report
BROOKLYN, NY (AP) - The Brooklyn Green Sox have made two Rule V claims that GM Jonah Falcon feels will aid his team in the upcoming 2013 season. First baseman Mauro Rosales was claimed by the Green Sox in the first round of the Rule V draft, a 30 year old player who somehow was left open by the High...

Notable retirements
Notable retirements: 2B Ernesto Campos - Brooklyn (2009-2012) Enresto Campos was a relatively high 11th round pick for the Green Sox, picked for his defense and contact ability. His career was marked by a stellar consistency at the plate and glovework, winning his sole Gold Glove in 2009. His inabil...

Re: Green Sox Report
Several other young players get nice extensions rather than options.
A ton of money will be coming off the dockets, too, for free agents.
Goodbye, Campos. You proved the naysayers wrong with your .305 career average.

Re: Gripes, Complaints and Angst
Good job keeping Joyce for another four years Jonah. (Although what gives with his horrible 2012?) Though why on earth did you sign an injury-riddled, 37-year-old Brett Hoover to a 2yr/$9m deal? Because he hits well for ME. Note how he instantly revived when in the comforting fold of Brooklyn. You ...

Re: Gripes, Complaints and Angst
My season was doomed from the start. Losing my closer destroyed the pen, because I lost a middle reliever in that fashion. The entire starting staff inexplicably going down the shitter didn't help.
When you're 66-96 and still end up in 3rd place, you know the league is in a start of imbalance

Green Sox Report
Superstar Joyce Stays in Brooklyn Thursday, October 4th, 2012: Happy times in Brooklyn as the Green Sox and star starting pitcher Joe Joyce put the finishing touches on a $23,600,000 contract extension that will keep the 26-year-old in town 4 years longer. Despite the disappointing 66-96, third pla...

Players like that are tough for HoF induction just because of a lack of body of work. I understand what you mean, but 2 HoF worthy seasons may not be enough because he started to late How about Manny Gomez? 2 Cys in the first 2 years of the League. Just from that he's eligible. Gomez is a different...

New Year Predictions
For the Green Sox, I predict ... PAIN. And I mean for Green Sox fans, not opponents. We're really going to rely on pitching this year in a big way, because Ybarra retired and we lost a player to FA. (We simply can't afford him, and he's overpriced anyhoo.) Our top 4 must step up the way they can. An...

Player Retirements
Goodbye, Javier. And thank you for unrealistically retiring in the middle of a massive contract. :p Seriously, he'd get my vote for the Hall of Fame, despite a brief 3 year career. He was the most popular Green Sox player and popular around the league and was a beast at the plate. Now, it's all up t...
