I had to shoot great on Sunday to finish under par for the tournament. Multiple blow up holes where I kept putting it in the water. Not a fun time.

Looking forward to the qualifying event for TGC tours tomorrow. That tour gives this game serious legs, but you have to plan on Master or better.

Even in our tourney, somebody just shot a 60.


Not sure if I'm that person or not, but given that I've played this game for years, and have a 99 level golfer... the challenge for me on the Pro difficulty any round on any course is to hit -10 or better. I think I did that twice in the 3-round ...

When I played a regular game, the swing was fine. up and down hit.

I went to one of those daily tournaments where it's off easy, and man I have no idea wtf i'm doing w/ the swing.



Out of the box, "Perfect Swing" is enabled. It's basically the games casual mode where the swing stick is ...

more and more people mad at the updates from 2K. They're saying the game was great before today and now everything is ruined.

I'll wait for more of your impressions post patch to decide if I want to pick this up or not.

Well, the ridiculousness of the scores in the official tournaments aside, the game is brilliant. Competitive play is a blast with our Society, other like Societies, and the ranked 1v1. I particularly enjoy the ranked 1v1 where you are generally matched up with someone of the same skill level.

Echoing the same comments. Have been playing the demo off and on all week and spent last night with the full game (set my time zone to New Zealand) :)

What happened to this weekends 4 round tournament? I got one round in and now I can't complete it?

I'll be out of the country for a couple weeks, so please keep the heat on Joz... He's still making this look WAY too easy...

Yep, he's the rabbit in our society for sure!!

I think I've hit 10 perfect tempo shots since the game released. Either I have some delay in the control or I suck. Probably the latter. Will stick with it as I like playing the video golf with some music in the background.

Yep, same here.

Today's round didn't have a meter for putting - I'm assume that was a setting special for today? I kind of enjoyed it!!

Also, if the swing stick is an issue for the majority, I'd be happy trying the 3-click for our society, if nothing else for a change of pace? Could be a fun experiment...

Now even if all that worked as I wished this game is not worth $70, never mind $100. My buddy at EA said they rushed this out because its not as good as the EA game. I guess we will see come spring.

Yeah, I'm not happy that I shelled out $100 for the Deluxe version ...

For what it's worth, since the patch I have not hit one "perfect" tempo shot in 4 rounds of golf. And I just shot a +1 in our current event.

Man I wish I had stuck to my guns and my gut but I went ahead and dropped $70 on this game. I'm not impressed at all, I think this is a major step backwards from the last version. Much of it could be saved with a patch.
