Boys:

Most of us are drooling over the brilliance of Project Gotham Racing 2.

But as DChaps pointed out, there´s more gravy to come, as there are slots in the Showroom for downloadable cars. What cars -- and hopefully tracks -- would you like to see added to the game?

CARS
Mercedes W196 vintage car
Ferrari Sharknose F1 car
BMW M1
DeLorean
Dodge Copperhead prototype

TRACKS
Monaco
Spa
Le Mans (probably locked up in some licensing deal)
Macau
Watkins Glen long course ("The Boot")
Laguna Seca

A high-banked test oval also would be great, to see just how fast some of these cars will fly. That was a great, great feature in World Racing. I got a Mercedes W196 up to 276 mph after winding it up over a bunch of laps on a 5-mile test track.

Your selections?

Take care,
PK

PK..

Cars: Not much of an exotic or classic car guy (I know it´s sacrelige) maybe some sort of Chaparral -- was always partial to Jim Hall cars.

Tracks: All those mentioned, plus the old Monza with the high banks. I could do my Sarti imitation.

[ This message was edited by: Neckthai on 18-11-2003 14:39 ]
A sampling of the Grand Prix Legends era F1 cars

Track:
Only one I need: Laguna Seca!

Laguna Seca with my Viper GTS would be a dream!

I´d love to see Laguna Seca as well, that would be #1 on my list.

A lot of excellent tracks would be wonderful to see in this game as well, namely:

1) LeMans back when the back straight was really straight and not bastardized with chicanes.
2) Any of the old 1967 F1 tracks found in GPL (especially Spa and Monza).
3) The current Spa and Suzuka tracks (two of my favorite F1 tracks).
4) An oval or two would be fun as well -- Indy and Daytona, perhaps?
but really, this is 2004, and nearly everything is considered to be gay now

BB:

Call me a prick, but I don´t want Indy in the game.

That´s sacred ground for me, and I don´t want a f*cking Honda Civic or SEAT tooling around it. I want it saved for F1 cars, IRL cars and NASCAR taxis.

The magic of Indy should be reserved for the upper echelon. Not to take anything away from IROC as they are best drivers from many series, but come on, IROC events are rarely even shown the same weekend the damn races take place. Nothing against the Infiniti Pro guys either, but they need to EARN that trip the old fashioned way.
Ok, back to your original question:
Road Atlanta
Laguna Seca
Watkins Glen (boot)
Riverside (as long as we are dreaming)
Spa
Monza
Daytona Road Course
Hockenheim (old configuration)

Cars:
Any car from the Can-Am days
Any/All Z cars
Dodge Daytona

I´d like to get my hands on the old McLaren F1 in the game (of course, it could be there and I don´t know it...only had it an hour).

Oh, Christ, how could I forget? I want the Bentley Speed 8 that won Le Mans this year.

One of the most beautiful race cars ever built, in my opinion.
