I just got game pass 3 mo free and maybe for 2/3 games, it does not do much for me. I know i'm probably more of a specific type of gamer who plays mainly sports games so the EA Access/Play deal for 30 bucks a year is much more appealing to me. I'd rather still pay for the EA Play sub which I usually get around $25 so that's like 2 bucks a month instead of $15.Rodster wrote: ↑Fri Jan 22, 2021 11:23 pmBut there is fantastic value in Game Pass. I rarely buy games anymore and I have played games on Game Pass that I had just purchased. That could’ve saved me money. For me there’s no going back to the old ways of gaming. Game Pass has turned into the Netflix of gaming. At first it was a tough sell by Microsoft and now it’s a no-brainer. Times have changed.

db, thanks again for this recommendation, got some time with it today and you're right on all accounts.dbdynsty25 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 19, 2021 2:09 am
And if we’re talking next gen, please everyone, try IMMORTALS FENYX RISING. Absolutely a fantastic game. Breathtakingly beautiful, runs great and is massive. It’s basically Zelda BoTW mixed with the Spider-Man fighting style. Great puzzles, great battles, massive map...11 hours in and couldn’t be happier and it’s routinely on sale in physical form from Best Buy, Amazon and Target for around 30. Buy it, you will not be disappointed.

You bet! I’m 23 hours in now and it keeps getting better and better as the enemies and my powers keep getting stronger. The game is so damn good and addictive. The God essence trials are absolutely crazy and challenging so it keeps you coming back. More people need to play it, especially for the price the physical copies are going for right now.MizzouRah wrote: ↑Sun Jan 24, 2021 12:56 amdb, thanks again for this recommendation, got some time with it today and you're right on all accounts.dbdynsty25 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 19, 2021 2:09 am

I about pulled the trigger on Immortals Fenyx Rising today for $30, but passed. Definitely on my radar but I have too much to play the way it is. By the time I am ready to play it, I will be able to get it for $10-$15. I'm not sure why there is not more hype considering what else is out there for the next gen systems.

Yep. If you are a baseball fan and Xbox owner who has never played this series...get ready. It is, in my opinion, the best sports video game series. Tremendous developers. They do Twitch streams leading up to the release that showcase everything. I can’t say enough about the series. It’s a must buy for me every year.

Re: Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5
this changes the entire next gen decision for me. I no longer really need to get a PS5. Maybe I'll switch over to XBX as it has the 2 games I really want : MLB THE SHOW and Flight Sim.
But it coming to XB One also makes me very happy. i have ps4 but having it on xbo just will feel like a brand new game for me. I am very happy w/ current gen of MLB the Show and if next gen doesnt blow me away, I am content to have it on XB One and PS4.

How is NBA 2k1 on the series X? Solid? worth it?

Usually they have a different cover guy for Canada. Will it still be Tatis Jr or George Springer north of the border?

You know me and baseball -- could care less about MLB. But I've oddly always enjoyed baseball games, so I'm stoked to finally dive into this series!
I'm in a HELL of a gaming rut. Nothing feels fresh or fun, not even shooters or racing games. Hope The Show can snap me out of this funk.

Paul, you need to get back into PUBG. It has been improved a lot. They have a frame rate mode that makes the game much better. Pete, Craig and I have been playing the hell out of it for over a month. I like the slower pace, gun play and teamwork.pk500 wrote: ↑Mon Feb 01, 2021 10:00 amYou know me and baseball -- could care less about MLB. 100% Agreed. PUBG is rocking right now. Taking down Guard Buildings in Haven is a ton of fun in particular.

Sony took a loss on each of the 4.5 million consoles they sold. That's hardly a surprise but not having a service like Game Pass doesn't help absorb the losses.

Any of you PS5 owners experiencing dualsense controller drift? Microsoft XONE controllers and Nintendo Switch joy-cons have had their share of drifting issues. Looks like Sony was late to the party, if true.

Re: Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5
Saw on twitter that Amazon had the Series X available and I was able to snag one.
I then proceeded to cancel the order.
