RIP Glenn Frey...

Post by Teal »

Dang, this one really hit home. I have loved the Eagles for at least 2 and a half decades. This group, Home Free, did an awesome cover of "Seven Bridges Road"...thought I'd leave it here as tribute...Take It Easy, Glenn...

Crap, that news sucks. Loved Glenn and the Eagles. He became even more popular during the Miami Vice era back in the 80's.

Horrible. You realize how old you're getting when your childhood heroes start disappearing by the week.

First Lemmy. Then Bowie. Now Frey. RIP.

Sadly, this will happen more often for guys like me, in their 50s and older. All of the golden gods of rock we worshipped in our teens and early 20s are pushing 65 or older now. Hard, fast living has put far more miles on their respective odometers than us mere mortals.

A real loss. Also, few men have so accurately embodied the stereotypes of two different decades.

Along Henley, a key figure for one of my favorites groups in the 70's and 80's. Good night 'Tequila Sunrise'.

RIP Glenn.
