Upcoming Career Milestones

Post by Breadman-HagerstownGoldSx »

First player to 100 HR's

St Charles 1B Jarred Bates is only 5 homers away from the century mark and is being chased by Chris Reynolds and Javier Ybarra for the honor of the first to triple digits.

500 Hits

Juan Ramirez of Miami has 473 hits and at age 23 looks like he will be the first to every hit level throughout his career in New City Baseball barring a major injury. Arturo"Farmer" Lucero could challenge along the way.

Career Wins

Emilio Soliz is the first pitcher to 40 wins with lots of competition right behind him.

500 Strikeouts

With a FB clocked at 98-101mph and a devastating knuckle curve it should be no surprise that Jarred Greer of San Diego is on pace to become the first pitcher to 500 K's. The next closest pitcher is Nathan "Tricky" Leese of Hagerstown who is over 100 strikeouts behind.

Saves

Jefferson City closer Jesse Whittier quietly crossed the century mark in saves with 100 this past week. How he will be able to continue this pace on what is clearly an aging, declining team remains to be seen.
