He's also declining. He went from 10 CG in 2009 to 4 CG. No shutouts in 2010 - he had 4 in 2009. His ratings are dropping.
Oh, and the entire time, he had a 87-89MPH fastball. He got away with pure guile.
Next two years may be rough for me with him. Fortunately, I have 2 young starters who are coming into their prime, one of them being Joyce who is going to be absolutely FILTHY.

Oh, this is rich:
Brooklyn Wins AL Cy Young Award
Saturday, October 23rd, 2010: With speculation about his retirement gaining steam last offseason, Green Sox ace Manny Gómez had something to prove. He proved it in award-winning style as he accepted the American League Cy Young Award today.
The veteran Brooklyn hurler posted a record of 20 wins and 8 losses this year with a 3.14 ERA. In 34 starts he struck out 157 and walked 56 in 235 innings.
* * *
Was that before or after his massive extension? lol
Hey, I never noticed this:
Groundball Percentage 68 %
So, essentially, I have Tommy John on my team.
He also has a loyalty of 10 and a greed of 2. WHY AREN'T YOU 26, MANNY?!
* * *
PS. Gomez is projected as the #3 starter this year by the computer.
