The ´Greatest Spectacle in Racing´ – the Indianapolis 500 is coming to Codemasters as part of Indy Racing League, this Spring 2003 on PC, Xbox and PS2.

The Indy Racing League, is a 15-race, single-seat championship that competes on speedways throughout the USA, including California and Texas, with the historic and world-famous Indy 500 the highlight of its racing calendar.
Jay-zus H, man, you´re better at my real job than I am! I need to contact Codemasters to get some scoop -- first for indyracing.com and then for DSP! (Sorry, Jared, the IRL and Indianapolis Motor Speedway keep my family clothed, fed and housed. )

Actually, this release mirrors what we released last May. Still, it´s encouraging to see Codemasters start to promote this game.

I cannot wait for this game for obvious reasons -- I work for the IRL. But I´m doubly stoked because Codemasters does such a good job with racing games.

I´ll keep you guys posted on any news I learn from Codemasters UK. I´m going to pursue this later this month, after the IRL season finale this Sunday, or after the U.S. Grand Prix on Sept. 29. I work that race, too.

Take care,
PK

Being a sometime cohort of PK with the Indy Racing League, I tend to follow the series. So it´s not surprising that I read some racing sites including some fan sites...

Which brings me to the point. A developer from Codemasters has posted on a couple of boards I lurk at looking for ideas from the fans of what they want from a IRL game. So I guess it´s good news that Codemasters/or their partner Brain in a Jar, is working on the game.

I know I am looking forward to it.
