Anyone still using a stationary bike while gaming?

Post by eman »

I REALLY need to get one and give it a go.

I accepted a new job 3 weeks ago where I pretty much sit on my ass all day.

Lately Ive noticed when I come home and do anything that requires me to sit my legs kill me.

If you guys have a suggestion on which equipment works best Im all ears. I swear to god Im buying something tomorrow.

I've been doing it nearly every day for years.

I prefer recumbent bikes for biking/playing.

after reading about this either here or on SR, i luckily was able to snag a lifecycle recumbent bike from a friend who maybe used it 5 times total. talk about a great way to burn some calories and get a little gaming in.

so far the best game i found was any version of espn football. i would crank up the difficulty (on the bike) when i was on defense. i would be exhausted on those occasions where the other team would drive down the field on me.

would finish a game in about 45mins and according to the bike burned about 700-800 calories. doesnt get much better then that.

I'm looking at getting a bike or eliptical. What would you guys recommend?

Don't take this the wrong way but the idea of playing games while spinning on a lifecycle is a pretty funny concept
