I'm looking forward to it and dreading it at the same time.
I look forward to seeing a new Star Wars movie.
I dread the thought that it's the last one, and that it will likely be depressing, unless of course you're rooting for Vader. Even though we all know what the end result of this movie will bring, it's still going to be a bit sad seeing all of the Jedi being wiped out and the bad guys winning.

I ordered tickets through Fandango.com this afternoon and picked them up after work. I can't wait until 7:30pm on Thursday. I'm taking my father to see the final Star Wars 28 years after going to the orginal together when I was 7 years old.
I was planning to see it after the weekend to avoid the rush but I dont think I can resist. HOw is fandango like? You buy tickets online and then pick them up at the theater or just print them out at home?
I am thinking about going Friday afternoon. The kids out of school yet?

I think certain theaters handle it different ways. I ordered the tickets online and went to the theater that night and picked them up. All I needed to do was show them the credit card the tickets were ordered with. BTW, this was the first time I've used Fandango and it worked well for me since I am guaranteed a seat and don't have to wait on any lines tomorrow night.
Even though I've got my tickets already, I've still got to wait in a long ass line tomorrow to get decent seats. Should be sort of a festival atmosphere at the Ziegfeld, though. Who knows, maybe Triumph will show up!
thats the thing I am worried about, lines. Even if I buy the tickets online, there will probably be lines just to get into the theater. I really hate lines. It's only going to be myself seeing the movie too. I have no intention of starting up a Star Wars conversation with the guy behind me dressed up like Vader .
Definitely worth the trip. The action wasn't quite as spectacular as I might have hoped, but the dialogue was a bit better than expected and easily the best of the new films. I also liked the nonstop pace of this movie, and seeing all the loose ends tied up at the end was surprisingly satisfying, and really gave me a great sense of closure to the movies. Lucas even tied up one thing from the old movies I didn't suspect...
