Anyone using their PSP to play movies? Do you think this will catch on?

I tried watching Spiderman 2 and got a headache after a while...The way I understand it is that not many of the movie co have signed on. Thats why there arent that many movies released for it.

Well I play Mpeg 4's on it all the time. There is a thriving community around that scene. I think the UMD format while cool and perfectly acceptable will always be a small niche. People simply buy DVD's not UMD's although I thought I read somewhere that some DVD company was going to start packing DVD's with a UMD for maybe a special price. That seems more feasible. I would maybe pay an extra 10 bucks for a DVD if it had a UMD version included, but realistically no more than that.

Proof, in one link, that PSP technology will be successful...it has already passed the crucial test of any new tech item..

"The players come from all over the world, the money from deep underneath the Persian Gulf, but, as another, older City poster campaign put it, this is their city. They may now exist in the global spotlight, but they intend to keep it that way."
