Newcastle United is through to the group stages of the Champions League after beating a Bosnian side I can neither spell nor pronounce, 4-0, at St. James´ Park. The Magpies won 5-0 on aggregate.

 Man U - Bayer Leverkusen - Olympiakos - Hapoel Tel Aviv
 
 Newcastle - Juventus - Feyenoord - Dynamo Kiev
 
 Liverpool - Valencia - Spartak Moscow - Basel
 
 Only 2 through from each group. Utd look safe, as do Liverpool. Can´t wait for Newcastle vs Juventus !

Ouch, that´s a tough draw for Newcastle.
 
 The Juventus match will be great, and the Feyenoord match should be interesting considering the war of words this week between Newcastle chairman Freddie Shepherd and the Feyenoord manager over the failed transfer of Feyenoord midfielder Brett Emerton to Newcastle.
 
 Frankly, I´m glad Newcastle didn´t spend the money on Emerton. We need help on the back line more. How about a good left back -- Wayne Bridge of Southampton, anyone? <IMG SRC="images/forum/icons/icon_smile.gif">

 The draw was very promising. I think LFC will get through.
 
 Newcastle´s draw will be interesting.
 Arse-nal vs. PSV Einhoven looks like an epic matchup as well.
 
 Good thing Houllier signed 37 midfielders, he´ll need all of them to pull off the Europe/EPL double this year <IMG SRC="images/forum/icons/icon_smile.gif"> I just hope Brad Friedel isn´t around. He stood on his head for a while yesterday.
