Can't wait. I just did a six hour Halo marathon yesterday with twelve players over four TVs with linked Xboxs. It's amazing just how good the original game still is.

It's actually about the strangest scene imaginable. The guy who organizes these sessions is an apartment manager and has a padlocked storage room that has turned into a gaming dungeon. He's got the TVs lined up, the Xboxs, the beanbags...it's all good to go. The really funny thing is that most of the guys who play are devout Mormons, and so they spend their entire time yelling out things like "Freak it!" and "F'ing fer!" at the top of their lungs.

It's just about the weirdest thing I've ever been associated with (but the Halo play is pure goodness...)

It sounds like a lot of fun, though.

I checked the impressions over at gamestop, too, and damn if this thing ain't lookin' good! I'm relieved that the ability to run custom games and adjust all the various parameters is in there. Also I had been a little nervous that all we had heard about before was the flag mode, so it's good to know there are other modes just as well conceived.
