NFL 2K3 Defense ?´s

Ok, fellas, I admit I am "challenged"(read: dumb) when it comes to understanding football terminology. This goes out to all you NFL 2K3 experts. OK, I have my defensive play menu up. I understand what the circles and lines mean, so I´m ok there. My question is this: When I am at the first screen, I have my formation choices. But once I get through to the next menu, everything is the same. For example, if I hit 4-3 or bear, the next choices are the same for both. Does it matter? I guess I just don´t get it. Maybe I´m just too used to the Madden way. Any suggestions? does anyone have a strategy guide and is it any good. Thanks, guys!
