My one Gamecube E3 related thread
Well I dont have one anymore but I have to give credit to Nintendo.
The mature Zelda everyone wanted in the first place...
Here is the trailer and it does look sweet.

And in following with the Fisher Price-esque look of the controller.
Wee dual screens.

My interest actually went from non-existent to very interested in the DS. Seeing the Metroid game running on it was very nice. I really liked how one screen was for the game and the other was showing the map.
Then to announcement of a "New" Super Mario Brothers makes this old gamer happy.
And as far as the Zelda trailer goes

Are they going to have 3D games or is it just a beefed up 2D chipset like the GBA?

I watched the movies and screens but still unimpressed. Looked like overly jagged shrunken N64 games. Games need more fogging Of course I am not that keen on handhelds to begin with.
If Miyamoto took a dump and stuck Nintendos label on it, we would both probably get it. Well I would buy and return my copy twice.injunwal wrote:My interest actually went from non-existent to very interested in the DS. Seeing the Metroid game running on it was very nice. True, but this time his dump looks like a Porterhouse Steakbdoughty wrote:If Miyamoto took a dump and stuck Nintendos label on it, we would both probably get it. If it turns out that a year or two after the DS, they release another handheld system, the DS could be the Virtual GameBoy II.
Nintendo has already said this was not the successor to the GBA.
If I had to put my money on it the DS was a quick fix for their loyal handheld owners. They knew the PSP would be coming out soon and needed something to counter the Sony hype.
Cincy I will have you a Wraslin update before E3 ends.
