Great trailer showing off the game. ATV Off Road Fury, Hot Shots Golf, hockey, soccer and the racing games all look spectacular. Pretty much looks like a widesceen PS2 game. If they can keep this under $200 I might consider this one.

$200 is probably not likely, at least at launch. Wifi PDAs with similar color screens go for $400 and above, without the UMD drives.
On the other hand, for about $200, you can get a portable DVD player with a larger screen, probably with better battery life and you can hook it up to your TV, unlike the PSP. And you don't have to buy the same movies in a different format. So the movie playing capability is not very appealing.
Sony wants this to be the next Walkman but they're also trying to compete in the MP3 player market with netMD and hard-disk players. But so far, a lot of their design decisions make little sense.
