ESPN rewrites record book?

Post by XXXIV »

Go to the records in the awards section and you will see that they still have McGwire with 70 Hrs as the single season record.

Seeing this I think they have also omitted other Bonds records.
I look up and sure enough they still Have Ruth as the single season slugging leader when in fact its Bonds .863 in 2001. They also have Williams the single season OBP leader when in fact its Bonds with .582 in 2002.
Walks also belongs to Bonds with 198 in 2002
I didnt check out OB+slg but Im pretty sure that ones wrong too.....

Maybe they arent using an up to date record book? or are they being funny? stupid? or all 3?

Wow, I didn't know they had to go this far. They are not allowed to have Bonds in the game because he opted out of the MLBPA licensing agreement.

Considering they both used more performance enhancement drugs than Hugh Hefner to break their records, I doubt steroids had anything to do with it.

We couldn't have any references to Bonds at all. We couldn't even make Joe Young black.
