Was just checking who was on Xbox Live and came across an interview dated March 18, 2004 with an Xbox Live subscriber who won some sort of contest and will be a player in NFL Fever 2005. Sounds like XSN isn't dead yet.

Whoops forgot the link:

Cool news, but who reported that XSN was on the endangered list? Sure, Fever sucked, but the rest of the XSN games ranged from good to excellent, and it seems XSN has a pretty vibrant gaming community.
I can't imagine MS dropping XSN. It's one of the key points of Xbox Live.
Take care,
PK

Maybe Scoop's post had more to do with momentum and the latest rumors. XSN hit us all hard in the fall (I remember spending extra $ and hearing others comment about the excellent titles all released at the same time). Then things died down a bit (as they will do) and the latest rumors are that Microsoft is dropping baseball, football and basketball from its release lists next year. So does that leave golf, hockey and snowboarding? And maybe no hockey if there isn't a season (or start of a season) next year? And how is that fella going to be in Fever when Fever is supposed to be a cancelled series? Or is it?
All of this gets very confusing.

Dropping baseball? Do you mean just this year? I figured (actually hoped and prayed) that since they acquired High Heat from 3DO, they would be putting together a super-duper game for next season. Inside High Pitch Heat 2006 would be king of the world!! Of course, if you combine the sales of High Heat and Inside Pitch, would that even break the 100K mark? Maybe it isn't worth the trouble.

I stand corrected, and I'm pissed at MS.
F*ck buying any of the XSN titles I sold a few months back, just for sentimentality's sake. I'll keep Links, and the rest of the MS XSN titles can rot over time in the La Brea tar pits, and MS can f*ck me.
Take care,
PK
