Got this game yesterday, hooked up online with DChaps, badgun and DarkBandit from SR, using DChaps´ Sports Reviewers server.
WOW. What a great time. 3 hours FLEW by. I really wanted to race more but the kids have been getting me up at night these days so I had to go to bed at 12:30.

If you are a PC racer, this is HIGHLY recommended. I´m now on the fence about trading this in (within 14 day period at EB) to get WoO for PC. I´ll have to watch forums for impressions of WoO multiplayer.
I agree James it´s fantastic. I would keep it. FYI WoO is basically a PS2 port. Don´t know much about WoO´s Multiplayer but NR2003 have built their reputation based on their Multiplayer code.

I´m trying out for an NR2003 league this weekend.

If I had to pick one it would be NR2003. If in doubt re-read your comments. You perfectly described NR2003.

It is truly awesome based on what I´ve seen in the demo. It could well become the GPL of stock car racers, at long last.

I´ll be picking it up on the 21st... hope to see some of you guys on DChaps SR server. That´s going to be a blast to have that dedicated server... Don is a real trooper!

Agreed. NR 2003 for the PC is the bar EA now has to meet in its future titles.
As for Papyrus, what a great thing it would be if they turned their prowess loose on a CART sim. That would sure make Codemasters´ IRL sim look sad (and I do like Codemasters).

(above msg reflects CARTisanship, which I freely admit to having--and the Grand Prix of St Pete rocked btw -- I was there at turn 1.

I´ll bite my tongue, considering Tracy won by 12 seconds, and there were no lead changes in the last 65 laps.
But everyone said the circuit was very nice for a street circuit. At least it wasn´t another Denver, Miami or Houston. Those courses are a joke, especially Denver.

Randy, what did you think of the Australian GP? I thought it was a hell of an entertaining show -- a lot of drama, suspense, unexpected stuff. Great show!

Take care,

I agree that there have been better ´races´ than the Grand Prix of St. Pete. But it was fun to be there and the way the cars took turn 1 was breathtaking in person. The s-chicane near the back of the course looks frightening as well. I´d have loved to drive it myself.

As far as the GP of Australia, since Villeneuve isn´t as competitive as he needs to be yet, I was cheering for Montoya. I thought it was a pretty exciting race, but most of the excitement happened near the beginning when the crowd was jumbled a bit due to the new qualifying format and the weather. Count on changing weather to always make an otherwise dull race interesting ! .

Seriously, though, I think that F1´s problems aren´t solved yet. Had the weather stayed wet, Schumacher would have coasted to victory (and Montoya woulda been screwed since he chose dry tires). The fact that Ferrari chose wrong made it a great race. We´ll see if F1 continues to be interesting or whether Australia was just a flukey show.

Cheers.
