Collin McRae Rally 4 pushed back to 3/4/04

I picked up MTX and CM4 at the local gamestop at lunch. I opened up CM4 already and I´m kinda gonna wait on MTX till I get home or I read some impressions first. If it´s a dog, then hopefully I´ll catch that before I open it up so I can save the 10-20 bucks on a trade in or Ebay sale.
 
 Hurry up with those impressions Brent...I´ve got 4 hours till I get to go home.

My Gamestop had it as well, so I picked it up. I had to ask-they forgot to put it on the shelf. It was $19.99, so only the ND store is gouging so far, those bastards!

Alright cool...so pop in MTX first so I can get a heads up. If I don´t open it, I can get the full refund on the bad boy and not pay a dime for MVP.
 
 On a good note...I found a gamestop card in my wallet...the son of a b*tch had 25 bucks on it. Hell yeah...so I got MTX and CM4 for 50 bucks. Can´t beat that.

 Actually it is one of those things where Gamestop has different prices depending on circumstance.
 
 Here in Lubbock we have two gamestops
 
 At the strip mall store it sells for $19.99
 At the mall it sells for $24.99
 
 I wonder how legal it is.
 
 Steve after talking to Dave myself I would not buy anything there as long as that guy is still employeed there. The guy is a first class prick and he is going to feel the wrath of his regional manager. Everything is up to the store managers (or assitants) discression and you do not have to prove that another store is selling it for MSRP (techinically in the rules you do but most managers just price match the $5)
 
 But you see regional managers dont like hearing customers complaining about taking there sales elswhere because the manager did not cave into a simple request.

Brent - Thanks for trying buddy. It´s a shame as it isn´t any money coming out of his pocket. Dave and I always b.s. about anything and everything. For the business I do there, he could help me, but chooses to lose a sale. Now I wish I could get it for $19.99 out here.
 
 How do I contact his Regional Manager, and what would I say? Was he giving you s&*t for calling and asking or what? Did you mention my name? I had called him earlier as I mentioned, and he was just so matter of fact. I just don´t get it.

 Call Dave back and you will be able to get CMR4 for $19.99...
 
 They verified the retail was $19.99 everywhere else and will match it. This is one of those rare cases where Walmart or Target might not get a copy so you have nothing to compare to in your town. In the future if a game is higher then the retail of
 
 $49.99
 $39.99
 $29.99
 $19.99
 
 You still have to supply something to him to show him retail and then he will get with his regional manager to see what they can do. I doubt they will hold you to a local store having them in stock but again it will be case by case. They dont allow stuff from the web but you can always call Walmart or Target and they can get you a price.
 
 And if they ever say no tell them to expect a call from your evil cousin Brent. That alone will probably get you the $5 discount to not have to hear my rants <IMG SRC="images/forum/icons/icon_smile.gif">

 We just discussed it in a less heated manner and while either while we were on the phone or before I called back his regional manager called out of the blue. They discussed it and he was given the okay to sell it for $19.99.

Ya, I just got gouged for five bucks at Gamestop and it still is the gaming bargain of the year for me. Three races in and so far it´s extremely sweet. Even though the box says it doesn´t support 480p, it looks a lot like 480p to me - at least it is in widescreen. I´ll have to go back and check whether the progressive is registering.
 
 Let´s get that GS circuit started!

Brent - I picked it up last night (for $19.99). I spoke to Dave and he had calmed down by then. Actually he did bring up some comment about milking cows in snow! All is good between he and I, so I can show my face next week when MVP comes in!
