<BR>I´m going with NFL 2K3 for the Xbox this year. I think the battle between it and Madden 2003 is really a matter of taste this year, as both games are very strong, and both have similar amounts of strengths and weaknesses. It´s really one of the closest choices in a popular sports genre that I can remember in years.

<BR>But NFL 2K3 feels more immersive and unpredicatable to me. I also feel like I have more control: When something goes wrong, it´s usually my fault. When something goes right, I feel like I contributed to the success. NFL 2K3 doesn´t have the detached, paint-by-numbers feel of Madden to me.

<BR>Again, a matter of taste.
<BR>
<BR>Plus NFL 2K3 looks fantastic and will be online with Xbox Live, a big plus over Madden for me.

Yeah, that´s the way I feel about NFL 2k3. When I give up a big play it´s my fault, in Madden or NCAA 2003 it feels so scripted, especially in the end when the QB of the CPU completes everything.

<BR>Have to agree with Florida. When I give up a big play in 2k3, I feel like it´s either cause I made a bad call, or I made a bad play. I don´t really get this feeling in Madden. I just wish you could combine the best features of both games.

<BR>The forum over here, is jump´n. Anyway, NFL 2k3 is my game (by default). Haven´t been a Madden peep since NFL 2k1 came into existence. Had a tight game last night, with Vick leading the Falcons into an overtime victory. From my view, everything is an improvment (from 2k1). *Except*: the instant replays suck @ss, and really take away from the overall presentation IMO. If only they could´ve stayed with the 2k1 replay format. Also, the camera view on the punts/kickoffs have now went to a TV style format. Resulting in the beautiful new stadium models not being showcased (as they were during the 2k1/2k2 punt coverages).

<BR>Fortunately, the gameplay is a progression rather than regression. Just wish VC/Sega had not taken a step back, in the previously mentioned depts.
