Oh, s***. This seriously challenges my console monogamy. I may have to pick up a used PS2 just to play this game. It´s going to be a PS2 exclusive, right?

That´s a decision for later. But great news for us footie fans!

I have yet to experience Winning Eleven on anything other than a modded Playstation a friend had. This is HUGE news to me, and I´m only a moderate soccer fan. WE showed me what soccer *can* feel like on a console. I couldn´t accept anything less than that after experiencing it. It will be hard to wait until March for it, but I gotta admit.... I very excited about it! I just hope they don´t botch it somehow...... Konami - if it ain´t broke; don´t fix it!

I am completely stoked by this news. I´ve heard nothing but good things about WE 6, but didn´t want to knife of mod my ps2. Now I´ll have a chance to try it myself. Now if online hockey and racing would come, I´d be set.

I´ll see what I can find out...but there´s a new version of Winning Eleven coming out in Japan that is rumored to have online capabilities. I have absolutely no idea if the North American version will as well.

But if Konami does make the North American WE playable online, then that´ll be a huge coup.

(Also, fyi, FIFA 2003 and Pro Evolution Soccer 2 (the European version of Winning Eleven) went head to head in sales this week. PES2 sold more copies...something to think about.)

Oh glory day!!! Finally Konami comes to it´s senses. I would be very surprised if we did NOT get a one-generation-old version, i.e. while they release WE6 here in March, they´ll surely be releasing WE7 w/ online capabilities in Japan in April! But HEY! That´s OK! At least we get it AT ALL! So much for me getting FIFA. I´ve waited a few years, a few more months won´t kill me.
